The Jackal is a joke. har har? no? okay =( (found a better strategy now)
Here's a strategy I used to beat him in Open League (this should work in lower leagues as well to help in scoring)
AI patterns:
1) He'll almost always start the match going into long range.
2) When he throws round kicks that prompt dodging with a knee, he'll almost always throw two round kicks in the same location, incase you miss the first one (knee block). In case you miss both round kick blocks, he then follows that up with a spinning back heel kick (dodge).
I.E. Right Round Kick -> Right Round Kick -> Spinning Back Heel Kick
3) He likes to move you to long range unless he's out of Focus. Then he'll assault you at close range with multiple punches before pushing you back to long range.
The thing is, if I recall correctly, the more attacks the AI does in a row without being struck, the stronger each hit becomes. So blocking his punch string before getting hit by a very fast kick of his will still result in an annoyingly high amount of health loss.
4) He does like to sweep when you kick. He does it enough to make it risky but its not always 100%.
Strategy:
Counter him with a sweep after a knee dodge or regular dodge. Afterwards, start spamming straight punches as soon as you can. You can get about 5-7 good Straight Punches in normally.
When your super strike bar fills, Straight Punch superstrike is the way to go. His head is his weakspot so it'll do some big damage. Follow that up with a Straight Kick and then Round Kicks and High Round Kicks, only if they hit previously. If he blocks, stop striking. The punch string doesn't work in this super strike follow up, only getting in 1-2 punches.
Repeat the process until you win.
With this strategy, I got 15,738 in Open League within 3 games. If I didn't already have the achievement, I could have gotten more.
