How to unlock the Piston Joe's nightmare achievement in Fighters Uncaged - Definitive Guide
Piston Joe is probably the easiest of all the enemies in this game. He is also pretty much combo bait. His attacks hurt but only if you fool around too much and swing wildly. (The guide below will help with defeating him and for those still in the earlier leagues looking to score points).
The strategy to doing well with him is to dodge him and straight punch him.
The one exception to this is when he does a Left Back Fist, you can do Combo 6. I recommend taking advantage of the combo to get free damage in. The worst that can happen is you got one backfist in and you're back to dodging
Combo 6: If you dodge an opponent's Spinning Left Back Fist, use a Spinning Right Back Fist to counter. (follow up is a Left Back Fist, then Right Back Fist: Left Hook and Right Hook does the combo animation too if lazy)
I find it best not to stray from the Straight punch. If you do an overhead, he tends to crouch for his next strike. If you do hooks, he'll retaliate attack (minor damage, but no damage is better).
His weak spot is his left leg but I dont recommend going for his weak spot or Leg Pain status. Straight Punch to his head does about equal damage to him as a weak spot hit, only occasionally he'll dodge a leg shot.
Likewise, Leg Pain status does you no favors. He'll dodge kicks in Leg Pain but he'll throw his own set out. He'll still throw his punches as well. It is faster to just dodge and Straight Punch.
Although Low hooks increases his Breathless status very quickly, its really hard to land consecutive strikes to trigger it as he dodges attacks to his stomach.
Use your Super Strikes as soon as you have the full meter. Theres no point in holding onto it for Piston Joe.
Thats really all to it. Its fairly easy to do two perfect/near perfect rounds with a lot of time on the clock.
I personally got 16,325 in Open League.
