How to unlock the Caravan of Great Might achievement in FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES Remastered Edition - Definitive Guide

The monster which the description is referring to is Testament, the boss of the Rainy Ruins Dungeon. Rainy Ruins is the hard mode version of Rebena Te Ra that opens after you beat the game.

To start, I would recommend having all the artifacts or at the very least most of them, as well as multiple Phoenix Downs . Along with that, having the best armor and weapon will help a lot. Finally, any accessory that protects against Slow or Stop.

First the level itself. Rainy Ruins is by far, the hardest dungeon in the game. It was definitely geared towards multiple players, but is doable solo. Pretty much every enemy comes in groups of 4 or more. Almost all of them are aerial and they also stun, stop, or slow you. Because they're aerial, you will need to have rings that give you the ability to cast Gravity from the beginning of the level. Whether that would be the Gravity Ring itself or a mix of elemental rings. The strategy I used is to lure as few enemies as you can away from the rest of the groups and try to fight them one on one. While this takes a long time, it's the safest way. If you're not going for points you can also just run past most groups, but do note that you still have to do the puzzles from the normal version of the level too, so you'll as least have to kill the groups that guard those puzzles.

Now for the boss itself. It may please you to know that the boss is much easier than the rest of the level, but as the "strongest monster" it's still no pushover. The fight will be similar to its normal version counterpart except for a few changes. It will cast all elemental -aga spells which can freeze, electrify, and burn you. The -aga spells can take up the entire screen so they're tough to avoid. It may be the best time to switch out your stop/slow accessory for an elemental defense one instead. Testament also comes with an accompanying Death Knight, which is one of the enemies previously scene on Mount Vellenge. The Death Knight will take about 10-13 hits to kill with max attack. It's moves consist of either attacking you with a basic stunning attack or a larger AoE shockwave. Since it is a bit bothersome to fight at the same as Testament, I would recommend killing it whenever it appears. After defeating it you can move on to casting Holy(which you should have) on the pillars on the left and right side of the arena, which will remove the shield protecting Testament. At this point it should focus on casting Firaga exclusively along with an AoE shockwave that will briefly stun you, but won't inflict damage. Spend the rest of the battle curing when necessary, casting Holy on Testament to make it corporeal, wailing on it, killing the Death Knight when it appears, casting Holy on the pillars if it's shield comes up again, rinse and repeat. The battle itself should hopefully take no more than 5-10 minutes depending on your Attack stat.

After defeating it you will be rewarded with a choice of many cool and interesting Memory Crystals and your trophy, worthy of a Caravan of Great Might.
