How to unlock the The Ultimate Racket achievement in FINAL FANTASY IX - Definitive Guide

You get this on Disc 3.

Get an Ocean Chocobo through playing Chocobo Hot'n'Cold.

Go to Quan's Dwelling outside Treno.

Head though the cave and outside with the clock.

You can select to use a dead pepper on the edge of the walkway.

Press Y when you're on the world map to select the dead pepper.

(You can also just walk over to these bubbles on the world map) My bad

You will dive into the bubbles below and you will unlock the achievement.

You can't just dive for the bubbles normally on the world map; I tried many, many times. I *had* to take the route through Quan's Dwelling and dive off the edge.

The Tiger Racket, the most powerful racket in game, can be equipped by Eiko and Dagger. To obtain it you will need to have advanced Chocobo Hot and Cold to the Lagoon, and have a Dead Pepper. Enter Quan's Dwelling (near Treno) and go to the ledge at the rear. At the very end a bubble for inspection will appear. Inspect it and select the option to use a Dead Pepper. You will re-appear on the world map riding your chocobo, choose to jump and he will dive down and dig up this treasure and a few others.

The Tiger Racket is the most powerful racket and can be used by either Dagger or Eiko. To obtain it, you will first need to have accessed Chocobo's Lagoon through the Chocobo Hot and Cold sidequest (see Diggin' It for more information) and dug up a Dead Pepper. Enter Quan's Dwelling near Treno and go to back of the cave to the fishing spot. Inspect the edge with Zidane to have him notice some foam far below him, at which point you will have the option to use a Dead Pepper. You will then automatically be taken to the world map and be stood on the edge of the precipice with your chocobo. Choose to jump, then you will dive into the foam below and re-emerge with a treasure chest containing this weapon.

To get this weapon, you will need to have a Dead Pepper (see "Diggin' It" for how to obtain these items) and use it at an inspection point on the outside portion of Quan's Dwelling. This will take you to the world map where you can jump into the ocean and fish out a chest with the weapon inside. If you need additional help, this video has all the locations.

One of the best weapons for Dagger and Eiko. To get it you need a chocobo of at least blue and a Dead Pepper item. Then you need to get into Quale's Dwelling and approach the cliff from which Quale once caught Vivi
