How to unlock the First Blood achievement in FINAL FANTASY VII - Definitive Guide

This is Story related and can technically be missed. If you sleep wile the battle starts.

At the start of the game you have to fight two soldier guys. It's enough to mash the A button to finish off both.

Finish them off and take your achievement.

Truly this is not really missable you have to finish off those guys to "start" the game. If you fail you start all over and over and over laugh

Didn't unlock for me. But I managed to get Failure Is an Option on a restart, so clearly some achievements are popping...

Actually this can be missed if you try to complete the Failure IS an Option achievement on the first encounter.

I can't unlock this. I've done 10 battles, nothing. Restarted the game and did first battle, nothing.

Got it, but had to wait 3 hours for the XBL downtime to end, then deleted saves and restart.
Noticed my achievement list was displaying 0% for everything for a while.
It was that service alert shit again that prevented achievement unlocking, f*** MS.

It didnt unlock for me, started a new game and it unlocked after the first battle. I hope the game is not buggy with achievements.

Hey guys on 27 March there where some issues with achievement servers this is a Xbox not a Game problem

It should be your first trophy if playing normally, you will get into a fight as soon as you start moving forward.
Clicking L3 will speed the fight up while R3 will give you your health back and full limit, but you won't need to for this fight!

This will be one of the first trophies you obtain in Final Fantasy VII. Simply win the first battle in the train station at the beginning of the game and you will obtain this trophy.
