Some tips (not my own, from other players and guides) for super completionists who want to do a 0-KO'ed playthrough. It is possible to defeat Jumbo Cactuar without dying to his 10,000 needles.
1. If you learnt Rinoa's Invincible Moon, without learning Wishing Star yet, when she is in crisis and can use Limit Break, there is a high chance she will cast Angelo with the Invincible Moon effect. Invincible Moon can make your whole party INVINCIBLE for 24 seconds.
2. Alternatively, using Hero, or Holy War, can respectively make a member and the party INVINICBLE for 24 seconds as well. However, they require refining the Laguna and Gilgamesh card respectively. As long as the Card Group quest is done before the end of Disc 3, however, the lost cards can be re-obtained from the Group in Disc 4.
* The full-health + always Limit Break cheat does not seem to allow Rinoa to cast Invincible Moon because being at full-health seems to interfere with its appearance. In my case, I entered the fight, cheat deactivated, with Rinoa in critical health, let a member cast an Aura on her so that she could use Limit Break immediately, and once she used it ("Angelo"), I activated the said cheat and let Squall and Irvine blast their Limit Breaks on Jumbo Cactuar.
