This achievement doesn't want to unlock for me. I reloaded my save and caught a chocobo about 25 times. I even finished the whole quest, but still nothing.

Did you try paying for it as well? There appears to be a huge issue with cheevs unlocking on this game. I’ve reported selected as buggy.

Just buy one ("ask for help" pressing square) for 750G in any Chocobo Forest and the trophy will pop.
