How to unlock the FFX-2: Overkill achievement in FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster - Definitive Guide

I don't post much guides and I didn't want to wait for my second playthrough. This is what my stats were.
Pain level 99
Garment grid Higher power.
Dressphere Mascot( Make sure to learn ability Bushido and also from the samurai Dressphere nonpareil.)
Accessories Iron duke Crystal bangle. (I didn't need a secondary since strength was 255)
Rikku mascot needs to know armor eraser.
Know what you need to do is go to Shine a on the ship and go to creature creator. Go to the fiend arena and select battle simulator. Select the team flying circus. Kill all enemies but the peregrine. Now go through the grid to access the break damage limit. Once through use bishops skill select nonpareil. Use this 5 times until you have a times 10 by pain. Rikku uses armor eraser 3 times. No use Pains cactling gun.
Hope this guide helps. I tried this out 7 times and got it 6 out of 7 times.

Great guide! Got it with Paine at lvl 83.

Iron Duke on its own took her strength to 253 so I also added Champion Belt to take her to 255.

It might be worth adding to the guide that Iron Duke is given as a reward for beating Trema in Via Infinito.

Thumbs up because this did work for me first try but you should really consider fixing some of the many spelling mistakes because it was tough to understand at first.

I got this achievement with high-level captured creatures using Fireworks with Break Damage Limit. Lv.99 Machina Ranger/Hunter/Leader can also do 99,999 damage with Impale and max stats in a chain attack.

great guide. thumbs up... but I second l BlackBrian7 l 's opinion. You probably typed this up on your phone. Lots of things seem to have been autocorrected.

I did this using The End garment grid, which you will receive from Shinra after completing Shinra's Bestiary (not the one in the fiend arena). After the bestiary is complete, re-enter it for Shinra to give you the grid.

The damage you can do with this grid is dependent on how many times you've escaped in battle. The more you escape, the weaker it is, so i used it on the very first fight of an NG+ on Mt. Gagazet (you can't change your grid during the LeBlanc sequence at the beginning). Put whomever has The End all the way around the grid, and the attack Finale will appear in your list of possible actions. Use Finale for 99,999. Paine was level 3.
