How to unlock the FFX: Messenger from the Past achievement in FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster - Definitive Guide
Jecht Spheres are messages recorded for Tidus and the party that give a little insight to Jecht, Auron, Lord Braska and more. Collecting them all obviously pops you a cheeve but also unlocks all of Aurons overdrives. There is a total of 10 spheres, so with that being said let's get started!
Sphere #1
Location: Macalania Woods
Story related- cant be missed. After defeating Spherimorph in your first visit to Macalania Woods, it is obtained automatically after the battle. After unlocking this first mandatory one, all others will become unlocked and most will require backtracking through means of the air ship.
From here you can opt to back track on foot for Spheres #4-10 ( but I personally recommend just waiting for the airship. Just a heads up though, if you do wait for the airship Dark Valefor will block your path for Sphere #4, but you have defeat him anyway and he is pretty easy after an hour or so grinding in Omega Ruins.)

Location: Macalania Woods - South
A few steps to the right of the save sphere in the South entrance of Macalania Woods.
Sphere #3
Location: Mt. Gagazet
From the start of the mountain trek, you'll go north and see a gravestone for the summoners that have fallen. Continue west going south briefly and back north. Once at the northern most part, you will notice on the mini map a small path leading to the sphere in the top left corner.
Sphere #4
Location: Besaid Village
Near the temple, without going up the stairs, run right along said temple and you'll notice it on the grass. (This is the sphere blocked by Dark Valefor, he is the easiest of the dark aeons to defeat so personally I suggest just hitting this after grabbing the airship. Make sure you get the ribbon drop from him! Reset till you do, it's crucial for other dark aeon battles.)

Location: S.S. Liki, The ship that takes you from Besaid to Kilika
From Besaid, take the ship like you did in the early hours of the game to Kilika. While still on the ship, go to the bridge of the ship and enter the Captains Cabin. It will be laying right beside the Captain.
Sphere #6
Location: Luca
Head towards the blitzball stadium, then towards where the Besaid Auroch's locker room is located. Just before the door to the locker room, the sphere will be located in the back right corner.
Sphere #7
Location: Mi'Hen Road
Go to where you land if the Chocobo Eater knocks you off (the path on the right looking at the mini map.) Go as far south as you can and it will be laying right next to a chest. (The chest contains Mars Crest, a catalyst for Auron's Ultimate Weapon so be sure to grab it as well!)

Mushroom Rock Road - Precipice
Near the northern most save point and the elevator that lead you up to Operation Mi'Hen. It is just just south of said elevator, right where Wakka punched Luzzu (if you happened to watch that optional scene.) *note: Coming from Mi'Hen road, you will come very close to the Dark Magus Sisters, but you can slip by if you hug the right wall as tight as possible. If you trigger a cutscene then then you will have to restart as the elevator will not work. Alternatively, you can come from the other direction, D'Jose Highroad, and will not trigger the cutscene at all.

Location: Moon Flow - South
In the southern Moon Flow area (the first part visited story-wise) on the same screen with the save sphere, you can find it on the right side of the screen in front of the tent.
Sphere #10
Location: Thunder Plains - South
Coming from Guadosalam (where you originally enter during main story), head north hugging the right side. About halfway up, just past a hook containing a chest if looking at the mini map, it will be just to the left of a spire.
And that's all 10, congrats on your cheeve and good luck with your sphere grid grinding!

Just FYI, it is possible to walk all the way back to Besaid immediately after the Sherimorph fight in Macalania Woods BUT BEFORE THE MACALANIA TEMPLE in order to get this done before the extreme end-game content. I did this myself. Honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be to do so, at least once I started using Flee to avoid fights.

Very true, but you have to fight the dark aeons anyway for Penance. That's why I suggest just waiting, the grind in this game is very long and I don't wanna add any extra hours if I don't have too!
