As you explore the airship, your main goal is to rescue the Princess. Once you make your way through the various passageways and fight a few dozen soldiers (I found it easiest to just fight everyone, vs triggering an alarm and get overwhelmed when they all rush to the alarm).
Keep an eye on your map, as there are many dead-ends, but overall, not too complex. As for party, use what is comfortable for you, I only had Baltheir as a healer (not sure why), so unless you thought out your License Board (unlike me), make sure you bring plenty of Potions and Phoenix Downs, as enemies CAN quickly overwhelm you, especially after a alarm.
Make sure you also add a 3rd to your party, as you'll also have a Guest who doesn't count as one of the 3 party members.
