Fairly simple when you get close to the end of the game, go into trial mode, set the speed to x4 and you will fly through this in minutes.
I would advise setting up a secondary gambit for trial 42 - cuchulainn, foobar x4, For this battle have 2 characters who heal and revive and do nothing else as your HP will be drained throughout the battle, and the 3rd character berserked to do maximum damage.
In trial 49 try to steal a ribbon. If you fail, just reload auto saves until you get it. Not entirely necessary but helpful for elite hunts
