How to unlock the Sharpshooter achievement in FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE - Definitive Guide
PARAMINA RUN
The Trickster is listed as an elite mark from clan centurio, it’s available after you visit Mt Bur-Omisace for the first time but it’s not worth attempting to fight it at this point in the game, come back when you’ve gotten much further and levelled up.
My party were mostly at level 44/45, with Vaan as my tank character at 56. I was pretty far into the main story, just about to start the Ancient City of Giruvegan, which is after you travel through the Feywood.

Using magick against this is always random, one of the 8 elements you can use will do x2 damage while the other 7 will be absorbed, but there is no way to tell which this is. And it constantly changes too, so it’s not reliable. Trickster is also immune to Petrify, Stop, Doom, Confuse, Reverse, Poison, Oil, Disease, Disable, Immobilise, Sap, Slow and Berserk
The strongest weapons and armour I could get at this point were acquired from shops in Balfonheim port. I used my tank character to attack this guy whilst another used a crossbow to shoot from a distance while also using healing items, and another white mage casting magic and occasionally getting a hit in. You get an NPC help you out, Monid, who to be honest doesn’t really give you any extra support.
If that doesn’t work for you, another way would be to cast sleep on it as soon as possible to prevent it from running. Use dispel to get rid of its protect and haste, then cast reflect, or reflectga on your party and repeatedly cast non elemental area effect magicka against your team like Scathe
When you feel confident in tackling this creature, accept the contract from Montblanc at Clan Centurio in Rabanastre, and travel to Mt Bur-Omisace. Speak to Gurdy, the moogle handling the chocobos. Agree to fight the Trickster. Go to Paramina Rift, and head to the Frozen Brook. When you arrive, a short cutscene will start with Monid meeting up with you to advise if the Trickster is there or not. It is down to luck as it only has a 30% chance of appearing. Back out and reenter the area until Monid tells you it is nearby. If you can’t see it, wander around a little until it springs into view.
Towards the end of this fight, I found that it suddenly became immune to damage, and I was forced to rely on magick for a short while but it eventually went back to normal and I defeated it soon after.
The achievement pops as soon as you kill it. Return to Gurdy to get your reward.

Actually I defeated the Trickster being level 33.
The problem in the map you will find is an Ice Elemental Lvl 45. If you are barely near it it will come to your party and mix with everything you're trying, and since the chocobo moves so much you will end up fighting both, overcomplicating the situation.
My suggestion is try to get rid of it first, then the Chocobo itself will be doable with a dispel, just with 2 melee characters and one white mage support for them.
I also used Belias very successfully (once I've got rid of the most enemies on the zone).
When exactly I did the quest ? Just before you have to gather all the Moogles in the Salikawood that are repairing the structure (tip just to avoid spoilers)

Just another tip for this fight is when it goes immune to physical attacks is have your mages cast bio. It still hits for full damage and you don't have to worry about guessing which element damages or heals him.
Non mages can use the bio motes. Just keep a healer in as his meteor attack hits hard
