How to unlock the In Another Savage Bind achievement in FINAL FANTASY XIV Online - Definitive Guide

With the level cap increasing to 90 in the Endwalker expansion, Savage's version of Second Coil of Bahamut should not pose any threat in Unsync mode for any character.

To unlock a raid in the Savage version you need to complete two steps:

1. Complete all stages of The Second Coil of Bahamut raid on "normal" difficulty.
These stages are easily completed in Unsync by a level 80 character with level-appropriate equipment. Problems may arise at T9 (The Second Coil of Bahamut Turn 4) since to kill the boss you will need to go through a fairly tough dps check in the third phase. But in 90 such a problem should not exist for any class.

2. After completing the raids, complete the quest Sing Me Another Song - located in Mor Dhona (X: 21, Y: 8), Alys.

To get the trophy, it is not necessary to go through all the stages one by one; it is enough to complete the final Turn 4.

For Dragoon drg, 580 ilvl equipment from the auction was enough. The equipment with which I closed the raid is below:

A few comments on the battle. Firstly, you need to monitor your position in the arena; stepping outside of it will instantly kill you. Secondly, the battle can be divided into three phases:

1. The boss can be attacked. The enemy himself uses not particularly dangerous techniques, except for calling meteorites, which at character level 90 he simply will not reach.

2. After 68%, the boss flies into the center of the arena and becomes inactive for attack. First, he will summon three green meteorites, which will fall in a random place in the arena. Three Dalamud Spawns will appear from them - it is important to destroy them as quickly as possible before they merge together . Two golems merged together almost stop taking damage and the battle can start all over again. The next wave of summoned meteorites is red. At this stage, it is important that the stones do not fall in one place, otherwise their explosions will cause 26k damage at a time. In order to minimize losses, it is enough to move along the far radius of the arena in any direction. The third wave will again be green meteorites and three Dalamud Spawns. On this wave, you need to kill two golems before merging. The third one needs to be brought in turn to two red meteorites in the arena and only then quickly killed. The golem will become stronger for interaction with each red meteorite, but at the same time the stones themselves will disappear. After the destruction of Dalamud Spawns, a countdown on Megaflare will begin (damage about 6k). Here it is important to take the right position in the arena (watch the video), since summoning the boss in the third phase can instantly kill the hero, either if he is in the summoning area, or by throwing him out of the arena. The remaining red meteorites in the arena will explode one by one, causing 26k damage. It was to reduce damage at this stage that it was necessary to feed stones to the last golem.

3. After Megaflare and a slight change in the arena, the boss enters the third phase and becomes available for damage again. If we don’t leave the chosen position, the boss will use Heavensfall and summon a tower in the center of the arena. As I noted above, if the character is in the center, he will be killed by touching the tower, if he is close to the edge of the arena, he will be thrown out of bounds. Now all that remains is to pass the dps check. After the boss has 42% of his health left, he will begin to use attacks related to mechanics, which in a solo will definitely one-shot the hero. From this point we have ~12 seconds to destroy the remaining health.
