How to unlock the Lights over Eos achievement in FINAL FANTASY XV MULTIPLAYER: COMRADES - Definitive Guide
From playing through the comrades story and by the time you’ve powered all nodes you’ll have approximately 400k+ kW so far.
You can choose to carry on playing and grinding away for the remaining power or it can be bought from a fisherman in old Lestallum. He can be found across the far side of the map from where you arrive, then going down the stairs to the left. He’s fishing on the rocks nearby.
He sells various amount of meteorites, most importantly though;
500,000 kW for 220,000 Gil
100,000 kW for 50,000 Gil
He does sell smaller amounts but buying one of each of these amount just after you’ve powered all nodes will net you the correct amount and the achievement.
If you don’t have the Gil by the time you’ve finished, try selling leftover weapons, parts etc to make up the deficit.
This achievement is cumulative, so anything you've spent during the story counts as well (to not drive yourself crazy, try to take note of how much that is so you know how much grinding you have left at all times). The best way to farm this out is doing the "Roboresurrection" quest. You will get 6100 kW for completing it. The robots are weak to lighting attacks, so the Lightning Katana is a good weapon to have if you didn't craft anything overly powerful. There are only two targets to kill to complete the mission, so you can skip everything else - but it's easier if you take out the two nidus which stops the ice bombs from spawning. You'll get less experience than some other missions (especially if you only kill the two large mechs and ignore everything else), but if you've got all the other achievements at this point, xp doesn't matter anymore.
You will spend many hours farming to earn this achievement... though sadly at least 75% of that will be in loading screens. It's a needlessly torturous grind compared to the other DLCs and how quick the actual story of Comrades is. Make sure you've got a laptop or tablet with you to watch some movies or something.
If you unlock the entire map, you'll have about 372k kW on hand when you unlock the achievement. It will only unlock when looking at the map, so check on your total from time to time so you don't grind longer than you need to.
Note: If you completed this achievement from the DLC version of Comrades inside FFXV (it was called "Let There Be Light" in that version) and transferred your character, it will unlock as soon as you check the power grid map for the first time in this standalone version.
To get the trophy you need to open all the points on the map (~370,000 kW) and accumulate another approximately 630,000 kW.
You can speed up the process:
1. Due to a jumping demon in a pot, demanding ingredients. The demon randomly appears during the execution of tasks - there is no point in hitting it, but you need to quickly teleport to it and hold down "triangle", after which several crystals of 999 kW will fall out of it;
2. Buy crystals from a fisherman in Old Lestallum for money (Gil) at a favorable rate. It is especially worth doing this when after the next quest a buff for a 20% discount in trade falls out.
For those who at one time received the Let There Be Light trophy from FF XV: Multiplayer DLC Comrades , when transferring saves to the stadalone version of the game, this trophy will drop automatically after interacting with the character (Zhanna) who opens the map.
- bonuses for all 4 types of equipped weapons are summed up.
- any weapon can be leveled up to 120.
- Don't be afraid to disassemble the weapon. Everything goes back together perfectly.
- When you disassemble a weapon, you get gems for every 60 units of any characteristic. And fragments for every 15 units.
Gems give +30 to the characteristic, fragments +15. Here, look closely at the weapon itself - gems and fragments are given only for every 60 and 15 characteristics you have pumped up. If the weapon had its own bonus +30 to strength, then to get a gem you still need to pump +60, so the weapon will have 90 strength. Well, and look closely at what you get when disassembling. If it's a gem - disassemble it. If 3-4 fragments - pump it up again until you get a gem.
- When you find a couple of swords at level 99, start pumping them with all sorts of junk to the limit. Put everything you have for one characteristic into this weapon and then disassemble it. Save up gems for +30.
- When disassembling, you also get a piece of meteorite, which can be used to pump up +10 levels in any weapon.
- When you collect 4 types of your favorite weapons, start pumping them, only with fragments. Fragments give little experience and many characteristics.
- Our task is to pump weapons with items that give less than 100 experience per 1 characteristic unit. Anything that gives more than 100 experience should be scrapped.
- Pay attention to the stripes in the weapon under the characteristics. If you pump up all the characteristics with stripes until these very stripes are filled, the weapon will evolve after leveling up. And you won't have to spend meteorite fragments for this.
- I pumped 2 weapons for attack, 2 for defense. Attack weapons are pumped only with shards of power. There should be 2 weapons with different pumping for defense. One should completely protect from fire, cold, thunder, darkness .... (pump everything up to +100). When you pump everything up to 100, fill the remaining space with gems for defense. The second weapon for defense is completely pumped with shards for defense up to level 120. With such a weapon with protection from all elements, a thunderbird of level 90 could not kill me at level 50. All the damage went by.
