How to unlock the Vanquisher of Villainy achievement in FINAL FANTASY XV MULTIPLAYER: COMRADES - Definitive Guide

Defeat Ardyn and Ravus.

Unlocking Fight:
To unlock the fight, you need to beat the Level 50 Bahamut Rematch. (Rematch: The Bladekeeper's Trial).

The fight will appear in the Bonus Quest list as Dastardly Duo: Ardyn and Ravus. It's a really tough fight against two Level 110 Bosses, so hopefully you have the stats or help to deal with them.

Character Build:
Finally managed to do it solo, but recommend doing this in a team of 3. If you're doing it with 4, try to have someone be the ranged/healing character. Doing it with 3 usually puts the AI as a really good Healer with a Crossbow and Curaga.

As for character build, Character Level gives you little but it is important as any AI will be leveled around your current level. The higher your level, the better off any AI will be.

For weapon builds, focus on balancing Strength and Vitality. Unlike every other boss fight in the game, brute force isn't the way to go; it's more about outlasting the two.

100% Lightning Resistance is a must as it nullifies all of Ravus's attacks except his sword swing.

Here's my build as an example. I didn't have the best of luck with the Cid Boost, but use if it comes along. There are also way better builds available, so just think of this as the bare minimum. BOLD are musts in my opinion.

Dragon Whisker: Level 120* (Leftover from original game)
2x Penetrator X
300 HP
457 STR / 119 VIT / 20 MAG / 49 SPI
7 DRK RES

Aegis Shield: Level 120
Immune + Sentinel X
940 HP
124 STR / 157 VIT / 119 MAG / 141 SPI
18 FIRE RES / 18 ICE RES / 100 LIG RES / 22 DRK RES / 21 SHT RES

Dreadnought: Level 120
Supercharge Strike + Undaunted X
245 STR / 259 VIT / 51 MAG / 51 SPI
20 SHT RES

Elder's Bow: Level 120 (Use the Artemis Bow if you can, I accidentally sold mine and had to make due with the second best crossbow.)
Manastrike X + Charge Boost X
20 MP
478 STR / 2 VIT / 62 MAG / 3 SPI
30 FIRE RES / 30 ICE RES / 30 LIG RES

Final Character Build:
Level 99
Fierce Sigil: Rampage
6745 HP / 137 MP
1364 STR / 957 VIT / 101 MAG / 103 SPI
48 FIRE RES / 48 ICE RES / 100 LIG RES / 29 DRK RES / 41 SHT RES

If you are playing as a healer, Vitality and Spirit are going to be your focus and Curaga is the ability you want.

Actual Fight:
HAVE DRAGON WHISKER SELECTED. Double Penetrator is an active effect and only works if the weapon is your active.

Focus on Ravus first, you are immune to all of his electric attacks if your build is right.

Lock On, Warp and LT + B to Martial Arts Fist him. You should do 5000+ damage with every hit. If he tries to swing at you, X to Dodge Roll. If you run out of MP, Dodge Roll to safety until you can Point Warp. Just keep this up and you should whittle his health away slowly. DO NOT use your regular attacks. Both bosses are 70% RES to Polearms and 20% RES to Swords. Only use the Martial Arts (because the bosses will be resistant to the Dragon Whisker itself, having it selected but using Martial Arts will allow you to get the Double Penetrator perks while bypassing the resistance). The more you use them, you start to fill this circle on the left of the screen. Once filled, you can shoot a laser that does a lot of damage by hitting LB + RB when the prompt comes up. It's a little hard to aim, so make sure you hit it when the boss is still.

Ardyn, on the other hand can hurt you. Same strategy with the Martial Arts Fisting, but you have to mix it up with Dodge Rolls and Point Warps when he throws out his attacks. Once he puts up his blade shield, you need to start timing when you can attack; warp too soon and it will knock you out. His lasers and scythe are easy to dodge by just Point Warping. And a good time to hit him is when he's using his homing knives.

It's a pretty long fight, but with some practice, really good gear or good people, it can be done.

Does level impact damage done? You state those stats should do 5k damage per fist, but I'm only doing about 1k damage per hit, however I have more strength than you at 1600 so I would assume I would do more than 5k. However I'm only level 45, maybe that's why I'm not doing 5k per hit?

Fought for 10 minutes w/ AI help, and died. Only did about 10% of Ravus's total HP, so I don't feel like I'm that close. I was topping out at 1150 damage for martial arts attacks which (like the last poster) seems much lower than expected. My stats: Level 54, 5.8k HP, 1.8k Str, 470 vit, 100% all resist, Rampage sigil. Weapon skills: 2x Pen X, Undaunted X, Tachyon X, Punisher X, Last Chance X, Air Sup X, Flash of Steel. Tips?

I didn't notice many status effects during the fight - why Immune? 100% lightning resist was certainly a requirement, and based on damage in the hundreds with no Pen X and only at 1k with 1 copy, double Pen X I would agree is a requirement currently. Curious to hear how your testing comes out!

Hmm, 20 more quest runs for items to trade in, or unknown number hoping for a drop...

@JORAX; I jumped the gun a little. I was going to wait but I got the Libertus special meal - +500 HP and +40 defense. It was too good to pass up, so I went ahead and did it. I'll post my loadout to Weapon Crafting in Comrades--Case Study: Ifrit. Delilah was afflicted with ailments. I had two human team-mates starting out. Something must have hiccupped because they were replaced by AI. They had the same stats but played much less skillfully than the humans. One didn't die at all. The other and Delilah died once. With my beefed up defense and extra HP, I survived without dying as well: https://xboxdvr.com/gamer/allgorhythm/screenshot/11094188

Repeat the thumbs up and great video. I also thumbed up it on YouTube where I've been subscribed to you for quite some time.

As I suspected, the Gilgamesh Daggers, when you add Penetrator X to the built-in Rush Boost are very effective against Ardyn and Ravus. I still prefer your recommended Penetrator X/Penetrator X Dragon Whisker with martial arts for most of the fight. However, someone who is not adept at evasion (dodge rolls and point warps) will find the Gilgamesh Daggers almost as effective and much less risky. If you spam warp strikes, the Rush Boost X bonus multiplier quickly reaches 100% bonus damage. If you supplement that with Penetrator X, your delivering 3000 damage with each super-fast warp strike with relatively little risk. The All Creation Gauge, moreover, builds up albeit not as quickly as with martial arts.

It's the end of the fight where Ardyn becomes super-lethal that the Gilgamesh Daggers are a game changer. You can warp strike Ardyn with relative ease and safety. I don't spam warp strikes. Instead, I lift up on targeting as soon as I strike doing a quick warp strike in/point warp out combo. I describe it in greater detail in this post: Weapon Crafting in Comrades--Case Study: Ifrit

I am having some difficulty fulfilling two of the prerequisites required for fighting Ardyn and Ravus. Namely, the fight against Bahamut in Rematch: The Bladekeeper's Trial and the Chocochampion in the chocobo arena. Rematch: The Bladekeeper's Trial is a level 50 quest but I still can't beat it at level 61. I am well geared, but I can't deal with Bahamut's relentless attacks, especially in his final phase. A couple of hits from him puts me into Danger status, and the next, inevitable hit sends me back to Lestallum with a whimper. Brute forcing doesn't seem to work against him. In the second phase, he spams his floating swords attack, and in the third he spams that move where pillars of light emerge from the ground. His melee strikes have huge range also. My AI teammates usually die on his first phase, which leaves me alone for the remainder of the fight. @Allgorhythm (or anyone else) - do you remember what your strategy was for the Bahamut rematch?

Regarding the chocochampion fight, I have a team of level 99 chocobos but my team is getting destroyed easily by the Behemoth. Defeating it is required for the Rusted Plate, which upgrades into the Aegis, which is a requirement for Ardyn and Ravus. I'm a novice regarding chocobo builds, but it seems you need a team of chocobos with specific colors and stats to prevail against the Behemoth. What color chocobos did you use and what were their stats?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Check if I am on. I'll be more than happy to be your wingman to get this achievement. If you'd like, you can put a high vitality loadout on your character with the Omniguard sigil and play defensively. Check if I'm on. In the next few days, I'll be playing a few hours each day from about 4:30 PM GMT.

If you want to solo the fight, these are the stats I recommend:
The Fierce Sigil; Rampage using Martial Arts predominantly with a double PenX DW
Abilities: Double Penetrator X, Immune, Jitterbug, and optionally Curaga
Approximate stats: 2000 strength, 1200 vitality, 0 magic, and 150 Spirit
100% Lightning resistance

Note the 150 spirit. Many of Ardyn's attacks have a magic component. 150 spirit will nullify about 60% of the damage. I recommend carrying it even though that means, with the 70% reduction in spirit with the Fierce sigil, you have to have 500 combined spirit on your weapons.

Following up on my last comment of only doing 1k per hit. It was because I wasn't using the double Penetrator X weapon. As soon as I forged that weapon and used it, I went from 1k to 7k per hit with 1700 STR.

@BaronVoNewman Martial Arts with 1.500+ attack and 4.500+ HP per player should be enough. The strat in simple terms is basically spam LT + B to fill the ultimate and repeat, obviously you need to dodge a lot since almost every enemy attack one shot you.

Make sure you have Dragon Whisker selected as your active. Double Penetrator X won't work unless it's on your active weapon. I was doing like 500 damage until I switched over.

Tried this method with a friend we had better stats but not double penetrator X, we both had over 5k health and strength was 2k for him and 2.8k for me, had dragon whisker with penetrator X and Undaunted X. Literally was only just getting over 1k a hit using martial arts.

I’m hoping if I remake the Dragon Whisker with double penetrator X that I see 5k a hit. Can anyone else confirm that double penetrator X gets 5k a hit using this method?

@JORAX "For something passive such as a status ailment immunity ability like Deathproof, you're good to just have that weapon equipped on you. Any other abilities like Crusher, Brink Boost, Lifedrain, Penetrator, etc. will all require you to actively be using whatever weapon has them slotted." -GameFAQs

@JORAX Basically, the idea is to use the Double Penetrator X perks with the Martial Arts to keep the ability and bypass the bosses' 70% resistance to Polearms.

@Dr Latour The only real thing you need to farm are Zu Beaks for Vitality. Curved Hallowhorns for strength and Drooping Whiskers for resistance can just be bought from the trader at the garrison. Behemoth Tears can now be bought with item tokens from Bonus Quests. Other than that, the only other major time consuming thing is getting 4 good chocobos for the Aegis Shield.

Thumbs up. A note on crafting. Behemoth Tears for Penetrator X and Cactuar Nectar for immunity can be acquired with a 30 Ingem trade each. If one grinds for Zu beaks, one will also come across the Apple--a rare item that might drop when you administer the coup de grace on the Zu. The apple endows a weapon with Curaga.

If you want Curaga, you will probably want to build your lightning resistance with the Blue Skyserpent Scale. In addition to efficient lightning resistance, it is the most efficient magic builder in the game. It provides. 26 Magic Points at a cost of 2700 Experience. You get one magic point per 104 experience--a bargain especially since you're getting the lightning resistance you need for the fight. The Aegis needs magic in its build. You might as well get 100% lighting resistance for free while you use the most efficient magic in creating the Aegis. The Blue Skyserpent Scale is a common drop in the Malignant Michlantechuatl.

The key takeaway is you need double Penetrator X to get through robust defenses, Immune to protect against status ailments, and 100% lightning resistance for Ravus's elemental attacks. The Dragon Whiskers is the only weapon that can acquire the double Penetrator X abilities. Immune, if you have Cactuar Nectar, can be placed on any weapon. I prefer to put it on a Wizard Shield instead of using the Aegis for immune. The reason is the Wizard Shield provides an extra 30 MP. I have a Gralea birthplace with high attack, vitality, and HP. I don't need the extra HP from the Aegis, but find the additional MP invaluable. Don't dismiss the Kain's Lance as a source of lighting resistance. It also provides a 30MP bonus. It is one of the most efficient stat boosters in the game and can greatly enhance your strength, vitality, or both.

I'm waiting to get the Gilgamesh Daggers before I fight Ardyn for reasons I discuss in Weapon Crafting in Comrades--Case Study: Ifrit. A double penetrator X Dragon Whiskers has been my go-to weapon since last March using it with the Fierce sigil. The above tactics are spot on and fit my play style to a T. Yet, I want to compare its efficacy with Martial Arts against a level 120 Gilgamesh Daggers with Penetrator X and Rush Boost X.

The Gormandizing Zu without question. Almost 100,000 experience solo. If you've got human team-mates, you'll get an experience (and material) bonus from bringing a designated one back alive. The day before yesterday, I created a new level one character. Four hours later, he was level 99. I could have done it in three but wanted to grind the Gilgamesh mission for daggers.

Every time I come back to this game I always completely forgot the crafting nuances...

Can you breakdown a 120 Dragon Whisker and redo it without wasting to much? I only have one Pen X on mine...ugh. I think I can still manage the fight with a good group or partner, but figured I would work on a new Dragon Whisker in the meantime.

@Shred Asics 13, you absolutely can. However, the Corsesca can so easily be obtained, I would recommend getting a second one. You can get the three Sharp Scythes from Terrible Treant and the three Crooked Helixhorns from Too Tough to Tame. The difficult part is getting the Behemoth Tears for the second Penetrator X from the final Behemoth in Double Deadeyes. If you consistently get the Behemoth Incisor, you are doing the right thing. Then, it is only a matter of time to get the much lower probability Behemoth Tears drop. Look for me online. If available, I can help you farm for the Tears.

3 negative votes? This is absurd. The solution works as evidenced by the video. It is complete--from prerequisites to recommended build to effective tactics. It is detailed and took a lot of time to write. Voting negatively is irresponsible. It discourages people from sharing effective approaches to difficult achievements. This is a challenging fight. It is quite likely one may experience failure before success. That does not mean the solution is faulty. To the contrary. We need more solutions like this on TA--solutions that teach us how to persevere against great odds!
7 positive votes? Not enough. If you were helped by this solution, please press the thumbs up button!

I am having huge trouble securing victory against the Zu in The Gourmanding Zu. I am currently level 46. I spend most of the fight running around trying not to get hit (and usually failing), while the Zu flies around avoiding my attacks. I have a 120 Dragon Whisker and 3 strong stat boosters, but they aren't much use when I can barely land any hits on the target.

@EbonHawk01; to answer your question, I posted a Zu guide here: Weapon Crafting in Comrades--Case Study: Ifrit. You're going to hate me because it shows the reward screen of a level 1 character beating the mission solo and going from level 1 to level 31 with one mission. Nevertheless, it should have enough tips about loadout and tactics that should allow your level 46 character to easily prevail against the Zu. Finally, look for me when you are online. I am always available to do missions with people and the Zu mission is one of my favorites.

So I ended up finishing the base game last month without ever needing to create the Dragon Whisker (since I did the crossbow exploit with Irift) but now it sounds like its pretty much required to use a OP weapon for this.

Should I try and create the DW or go for the Gilgamesh Daggers? Have no idea which is better but the latter seems far easier to get since its a rare drop in that one bonus quest.

Short answer, create the DW. You may be interested in this thread: Weapon Crafting in Comrades Standalone--Bonus Quests

The Gilgamesh daggers will work, but it's a question of exposure. In the early goings, you are not exposed to that much danger. So, your best bet is to deal as much damage as you can in the shortest amount of time. The double penetrator X Dragon Whisker deals more damage than the Gilgamesh daggers. This is especially the case because you have to keep the hit count up to get max benefit from Rush Boost X. With both Ravus and Ardyn after you, this is hard to do.

In the later stages of the fight, as shown in the video, Ardyn has some very nasty stuff as his HP gets very low. That's when the Gilgamesh daggers are best. You can strike quickly with almost no exposure. You deal less damage than the Dragon Whisker but fast dagger warp strikes expose you to far less risk than slower martial arts strikes with the polearm.

Note that my Gilgamesh Daggers that I think are the second best weapon in the game, have the Penetrator X ability added. In other words, you have to do as much Behemoth Tears farming for those daggers as you would for the double Penetrator X Dragon Whisker. It is the Penetrator X on the daggers that allow its attacks to get through Ardyn's strong defenses. Without it, you are doing a fraction of the damage which also means the Rush Boost X ability does not help you much.

Damn guess there's huge grinding either way, I feel so stupid now for burning all those hard earned items into that crossbow exploit without thinking about the possible character transfer. Ah well, I'll manage.

Thanks for the detailed response, I appriciate it.

Check if I'm online. With the new stand-alone, you get a material bonus multiplier when you bring a designated human team-mate back alive. Makes farming a lot easier.

Please give this guide a thumbs-up. I'm disappointed @VidGamiac is not getting the positive feedback this guide deserves.

The grinding is really not huge or as bad as you might think it appears. The Behemoth Tears takes some time because it is a low probability drop. However, if you get the Incisors consistently, it means you're hitting the right break point. Then, it's just a matter of time until the laws of probability work in your favor.

Getting the drops to trade for the Corsesca is easy. Use Fine Slimy Oil (can be bought) for spirit build. They'll put extra HP on the weapon at the same time. One Zu mission with a human team-mate or two without should give you enough Zu beaks for the required vitality. Buy the Curved Hollowhorns for the strength. They're expensive, but you have to do the lower level bonus quests and they'll give you lots of cash.

The 2X Penetrator X DW is, by consensus, the best weapon in the game. So, it's worth the time. Speaking of which, get the 30% Cid boost first, if you don't already have it. Obtain it with a level 1 character so you can keep it indefinitely.

@VidGamiac recommends 3 things - the DW, Immune, and 100% lightning resistance. You can get both the other two on the Aegis. When you craft the Rusted Plate/Rusted Shield into the Aegis, use Blue Skyserpent Scales for the magic part of the build. You'll get 100% lightning resistance at the same time.

Yeah I'm REALLY struggling with the Zu mission on my own since I don't have the Dragon Whiskers, maybe I could ask to do some item grinding with ya one day soon. I already got enough to buy the 30% Cid boost so don't worry, won't be getting it untill I finally need to create the required weapons.

All I want in the end is at least enough to beat the damn 2-in-1 boss fight and then I'll be finished with Comrades once and for all. Not looking to keep going with this anymore after.

I first used the Kitchen Knives III against the Zu. If your party is below 30% HP, the weapon deals double damage. AI team-mates do terribly against the Zu and ensure the team's overall health is below 30% even if you're at full health.

Second, the Zu is weak against fire. If you got the max level 20 befouled blades from the face of one of the two bandersnatches in the Baleful Bandersnatch, their final form, the Crimson Flashes, is the ideal weapon. This post provides some detail: Weapon Crafting in Comrades--Case Study: Ifrit

The Zu is more about technique than weapons. Watch out for the frogs and strike the feet from the side or back to avoid parries and being stepped on. Once you achieve a break, the Zu will become vulnerable and will fall down. One foot will be low, the other high in the air. Warp strike the foot held high in the air. When the Zu dives, position yourself at the juncture of cliff wall and floor. Block after the prompt when you see the Zu. Once you perfect the timing, you will perfect block the Zu. It will be vulnerable. Warp strike the foot held high in the air. The Zu covers a wide frontage. However, if you maneuver around it, you can deliver devastating attacks. For farming, note that all break points drop beaks. Ironically, you can farm more beaks from the feet than the beak itself.

Great guide!

I'm going to throw up a second "solution," but its more of an addition to your solution as I think you cover everything very well. I'm going to show a complete guide for a build that is VERY strong and can still hit Ardyn and Ravus for 9999 per hit. Great guide though I'll be sure to give you a shout out in the video!

Excuse me but why is Sentinel X a must-have? Does it apply to the character regardless of which weapon is equipped?

Anyway, what I like about this guide is that the build seems... "friendly". It does not require crazy min-maxing or crazy item farming. 13xx Strength and 9xx Vitality seem very doable - I don't have Laser Sensors (which so many players use but take tremendous time to farm), instead I just have Curved Hollowhorn & Zu Beaks.

Heads up though - it takes 50 Item Tokens to trade for a Behemoth Tear, and 99 Item Tokens to get Cactuar Nectar for Immune.

I believe @VidGamiac is highlighting the abilities of the Aegis. They include both Immune and Sentinel X. However, he only uses Immune. It is a passive ability so it is always in effect regardless of weapon used. Sentinel X, on the other hand, is an active ability. It is only in effect when the weapon is used. Since @VidGamiac never uses the Aegis as a weapon, he does not use Sentinel X.

One Sentinel X on a weapon provides only moderate protection just like one Penetrator X on a weapon moderately increases your ability to pierce through enemy defenses. It is only when you have two Sentinel Xs on a weapon that you can have confidence that the weapon will protect you just as two Penetrator Xs on a weapon substantially boosts the weapon's attack power. I've been writing about a double Sentinel X weapon in the crafting thread: Weapon Crafting in Comrades--Case Study: Ifrit. A double Sentinel X is great for a glass cannon mage because it can protect the caster. It is not ideal for a physical attacker who would usually use a weapon with offensive abilities.

Hi, need help with this fight and kenny. My level is 74 and STR over 2000 with good equipment. Can do 7000 DMG to ardyn but doing the fight with AI players is really a problem. I can’t survive. If I kill ravus ardyn uses all those special attacks and I am gone. And if I try to go for him first I can only leave him on 1/3 Hp. If anyone can help just message me GT rippercito.

Edited: Completed!. Special thanks to M. Krauser who helped me with the last two fights. They were really hard even with good equipment.

Hey Gamers! Welcome to Final Fantasy XV: Multiplayer Comrades!

First and foremost, VidGamiac has provided an excellent text guide of his build and the strategy of using Martial arts so I will not replicate all that info here. Please refer to his guide on how to unlock the quest and for details of his build.

I am "adding" to his solution to provide you all a COMPLETE GUIDE of everything you need to know in order to make a DEVASTATING CHARACTER.

The build I show you how to make in the video will cover all items you need as well as how to upgrade them and will make you a very very strong character in FFXV Comrades!

The second video is showing the Ardyn and Ravus Fight using this build and VidGamiacs Martial Arts strategy, and you will see this build hits even them for 9999!

I hope you find the videos helpful!

Also, Allgorbythm, your tips are great. My overall build is not just for this fight it’s a build that will work for almost any fight. The Lifedrain comes in handy with Bahamut and other fights that can drag out with only one food. Just keep in mind the build is just an overall beast set up. Then I just show how it works against Ardyn and Ravus as well :). Your tips are very much appreciated!

Thumbs up. A few tips. Dynamos for the Dancing Daggers can be bought inexpensively in Old Lestallum. No need to farm them.

The Ardyn/Ravus fight becomes difficult if you find yourself going into stasis. Rather than the second DW (you never use Lifedrain II), I would recommend a weapon that adds 30 MP--Kain's Lance, Scharnhorst Mace, Thor's Hammer, Wizard Shield, etc. If you had 175 MP, you would rarely, if ever, go into stasis.

You also never use the Helmsplitter X on the Dancing Daggers. I would recommend either Temperga (Monstrous Jaws from the Bandersnatch at the end of Road to Hope) or Protectga (Divine Whiskers from Internal Infestation boss). Either one stacks with Jitterbug, so you would get a substantial strength or vitality boost whenever you invoke Jitterbug--two for the price of one.

I also would caution against a one size fits all. Your birthplace is Lestallum. A Galahad birthplace might approach the fight differently. I've fought this fight with a glaive from each of the six birthplaces. The only weapon I've kept in common with all six birthplaces is the double Penetrator X DW - never leave home without it (Unless you play as a Healing Light character and use my most awesome double Sentinel X Mutant Mace of the Fierce as your main weapon) smile

It's not a build that will defeat Ardyn/Ravus, but makes it much easier for others to do so and survive the fight. The Curaga on the Wizard Shield is redundant, because I use Healing Light exclusively for healing. However, the Dancing Daggers with Jitterbug provides an awesome buff. This tank healer is in close proximity to the action. So, it buffs anyone engaged with the enemy. They get the normal defense buff and the enhanced strength buff with Temperga. The double Sentinel X for defense works the same way double Penetrator X works for offense.

@xxDAMRONxx; since you like Lifedrain, have you tried out the Cornflower Shuriken. It comes with Lifedrain X and Soulsiphon X. Also, although polearms are my weapons of choice, I've got to concede that the shurikens have a cooler regular attack moveset. I discuss it some detail in this post: Weapon Crafting in Comrades--Case Study: Ifrit

Thank you very much for this solution and setup. I used it together with another player + 2 AI players and beating this mission was not that hard at all. My character is from Gahalahd btw. So your character class is not THAT important or let's say this setup works for all classes.

Im glad you found it helpful! I find it to be a universal build that can really conquer any boss in the game.

@Kugare; I have characters for all six birthplaces. Each of them has beaten Ardyn/Ravus solo. So, you're right, birthplace is not that important. There's a significant difference in MP and HP and a slight difference in physical attack, defense, magic attack, etc. The key to victory, IMHO, is to be able to avoid being hit. All birthplaces are equal in dodge/roll, point warp, sidestep, etc. I made a point earlier that weapon selection wrt birthplace is important. Playing a Gralea birthplace, for example, you probably want a weapon or two that boosts MP by 30 points. If you're playing a Tenebrae birthplace, you might want weapons that boost HP.

Used your guide from start to finish and work perfectly. Had no problems with Ardyn / Ravus boss even on solo. Thank you.

Basically I could just copy what Chris s 360 said:
My friend and I used your guide from the start. Because we got additional loot in coop, we saved a lot of time and finished your complete build with level 33. We died soooo often during the material gathering, it was a constant reviving and dying fest :D most missions were far to high for us, but we didn't want to waste our time on grinding mid-tier gear, so we improvised a few bad weapons until your first Dragon Whister was finished xD
With that it was a lot easier. The rest was build within a few hours of more grind.

Once we built everything, the laser-sensor dude died in literally 2 seconds and for the first time we were staggered at first "what... happened? is this a bug? " and then laughed hard how powerful this build is. What an incredible difference, we could not believe how powerful we suddenly were. We felt like we are playing Warframe :D

Amazing, thank you for your detailed build video!

We finished the game in 52 hours from TAs estimated 80-100 with just Level 48. The final fight was tough, I guess because of our low level, but we got it in the end.

Your video saved us a lot of time and it was very very fun at the end. Thank you one again! ^^

I’m glad you found it helpful! I’m still wondering what the negative votes are for 😆

I'm sure the two negative votes are from people who failed to beat Ardyn and Ravus. You've provided the weapon loadout and the tactics, but you neglected to provide the skill. Shame on you. laugh

Man the 96 laser sensors is pretty rough. Only get 1, MAYBE 2 if I'm lucky per fight. But usually zero.

LV 1 Blue Slime: A while back, I posted a laser sensor farming technique to hit all 7 MA-X break points: Weapon Crafting in Comrades--Case Study: Ifrit

It's a precision technique. I'm too lazy to use it anymore. Instead, I use the Mystic Sigil Graviton's Black Hole. It 'softens' up the MA-X and allows you to farm the break points without precision. Moreover, if you allow the MA-X to regenerate, you will be able to make more than 7 breaks that yield drops. Your combined total of electrolytic condensor and the less common laser sensor should, therefore, be at least 7 and, most likely, more: https://youtu.be/TON9FMcP8v4

I average four sensors a mission using this technique. It's better if you do not do the mission solo. With two people, there will be a multiplier. The lower level person gets a 1.5 multiplier, the higher level person gets a multiplier of 2. If you have a full party of four people, it's possible to get a multiplier of 3.

This is a new achievement to Comrades, and it is absolutely ridiculous. To unlock this fight, you must complete "Rematch: The Bladekeeper's Trial" to get the Bladekeeper's Sigil item. Then the quest "Dastardly Duo: Ardyn and Ravus" will be available from the yellow robot.

As for the fight, good luck. The boys are Level 110 and hit luck trucks. In addition, they have high resistances to swords and polearms, making most players useless since that is the suggested build for just about everything else. Also, if you kill them in the wrong order, the fight basically becomes unwinnable. Be sure to kill Ardyn first. If you kill Ravus first, Ardyn basically enrages and grows spectral swords that fly around the map - it's bad. If you set up your character with 100% Lightning resistance, Ravus won't be able to hurt you very much anyway, so ignore him and focus on Ardyn, then switch to Ravus.

The final wrinkle to this fight is that you'll want to use the Fierce sigil during the fight, and only use warp strikes or the + "Martial Arts" attack (a ground pound, essentially) to do damage. As I mentioned above, their resistance to regular weapons is very high, but this attack can deliver a beating. Try to do this mission with three human players at Level 99, which will bring a Level 99 AI with you who will help heal and buff you (or, if you're lucky, find someone who can solo the duo like in the video below and just hang from a pole the entire time and stay out of their way). Be sure to use all your MP on martial arts, warp to a pole to recharge, and repeat.

Will become available after completing the quest from Monica:
"Rematch: The Trial of the Bladekeeper"

Next, the robot Samson will issue:
