These are larger breakable icicles and not the smaller ones dotted throughout the dungeon. Only 1 of the 4 icicles is off the directed path. Here is a quick video in case you miss one. Everything can be backtracked to so long as you do not exit the dungeon.
The, Pants, Party
There are only four actual "icicles" that count for this achievement. You'll see many pieces of ice on the ground, but they will be smaller than your character. The ones that count for this are as large as you and usually blocking your way or hiding item pickups. Since this is one of the dungeons required for "Path of the Tall" you should definitely get this along the way.
