How to unlock the Insomnia's Waking Nightmare achievement in FINAL FANTASY XV POCKET EDITION - Definitive Guide

You will get this achievement after the opening scenes including where you speak with your Father, the King. Make sure you do not skip these cutscenes! If you skip, you will end up at the title screen without the achievement.

If you skipped the intro like I did, you can either select a new save slot, play on a different device or uninstall and reinstall the game. It will put you through the opening scenes again. Once they are over you will be at the title screen and get a prompt that cloud saves are syncing. Once the title screen reloads, you should have the achievement within 15 seconds or so.

Thanks to Angels Kill Too, Jawmuncher, and Geno3681 for the comments stating that you can use a new save slot for the achievement.

Yep this worked for me too, since I was prompted for that in-game update as well.

Can you just play in a different slot then? I'm trying that first, otherwise this will be the last achievement.

I got this by starting a new game in a different save slot. I didn't have to uninstall and reinstall.

I did as you said and watched both and sat and nothing popped, what am I doing wrong?
EDIT: once i redownloaded the update and picked a new save slot it replayed the cutscenes I saw and then I got it after them.

Story related, but can kind of be missed. If you skip all the cutscenes in the prologue, the achievement won't unlock and you'll need to start a new game. When the game first launches, just watch everything until you get this achievement, then you can begin to skip cutscenes if you'd like.
