How to unlock the Surprise! achievement in FINAL FANTASY XV POCKET EDITION - Definitive Guide

During chapter 2 the major area you will traverse after the first tomb is the Keycatrich Ruins. In this area you must trigger three ambushes on three different groups of enemies. Before you reach your first group of soldiers you'll be informed about the two different options:

  1. Regular run in and fight
  2. Stealth route using warp points - this is one the one we need for the ambushes
Use the warp points to initiate the combat for three different groups of enemies to unlock this achievement.

Ambushes occur when you use a warp-suspension to attack an enemy without them noticing you. In other words, don't just walk toward an enemy or use a traditional warp-strike to initiate combat at least three times in the Ruins section of this chapter. The video above has the correct route to get all three ambushes. Despite the achievement description, exactly three is needed and it even unlocks right when you warp up for the third one before even performing the ambush itself.
