How to unlock the Ten Thousand Needles achievement in FINAL FANTASY XV POCKET EDITION - Definitive Guide

You will first begin collecting these in Chapter 3 after meeting a small boy outside the hotel where you see Iris. You will need to find hidden cactuars in the following locations:

  • Chapter 3: Lestallum (before Grotto)
  • Chapter 3: Lestallum (after Grotto)
  • Chapter 4: Wiz Chocobo Post
  • Chapter 5: Old Lestallum
  • Chapter 5: Cape Caem (before Grove)
  • Chapter 5: Cape Caem (after Grove)
  • Chapter 6: Altissia
  • Chapter 7: Cartanica
  • Chapter 8: Tenebrae

Each chapter's guide has its own video with quests and collectibles so you can work on them as you go, but if you prefer everything in a single video, the one below has just the statues related to this achievement:

IMPORTANT NOTE - You cannot get this with chapter select. It must be done in one playthrough collecting each and every cactuar.


Earliest this unlocks is in chapter 8 after having collected all of the previous cactuars. Nighthawk205's walkthrough has the step-by-step for all of these. There are also images for each individual cactuar hunt on the individual achievements.

Apparently I can't get this trophy through chapter select. I tried to go through the chapters, including what I was sure I didn't get, and the trophy didn't pop.
So I'm starting a new game just to get this trophy. Here's a tip for everyone who's going to try.

Well I finally got this trophy. Here are some tips:

*If you have already beaten the game I recommend:
- Go in search of all the missing trophies, using and abusing chapter selection.
- After you have done all the other trophies, only this one will remain to be conquered, so delete all save data from the game, this includes save data sent to live gold, clear all saves from everywhere leaving the base game only.
- Done that start a new game and find all the cactuar dolls scattered from chapter 3 to 8 that the popcorn trophy.

*If you are starting to play for the first time, I recommend:
- You are already locating the cactuar dolls to get this trophy on the first playthrough.

If you pay attention, they are easy to locate, just focus on the shine that the dolls have and in each corner that you find easy without needing a guide.

Important Tip: Do not advance the chapters without having taken them all, as there is no way to go back using the chapter selection and you will have to follow the tip at the beginning of this post.
