How to unlock the The Dragoon Descends achievement in FINAL FANTASY XV POCKET EDITION - Definitive Guide
At the end of the Steyliff Grove dungeon you will encounter the boss, Quetzalcoatl. You will have to finish the boss with Aranea's Highwind command move. This is very tricky because it's RNG-based.
Once he starts to get 1/4 or less life, he will go to the air and drop lightning balls. Stay in the zone till the last second, and drag your team through it so they get knocked down. This removes the chance they will get the last hit. He has to have barely any red health left, if any at all, for this to work. Do not use Aranea's Highwind command move when he is below 1/4 health as it will delay it coming back, just keep ignoring it. With your 2 teammates down, run around the map on the edges so that he chases you. This will reduce the chance that any teammates that have gotten up will get a blow in. Spam the Highwind command every time you see it when he is super low. Hopefully this will get the last hit before someone lands a blow in.
If you fail, quickly close the game and hope it didn't get a save in before.

The achievement should pop as soon as you land the killing blow. If it doesn't, quit before you dismiss the experience point screen and you can refight.

Give it at least 5-10 seconds for the achievement to pop. The XP screen won't be dismissed automatically. Just unlocked the achievement now and was ready to hit 'Alt & F4' but then it popped after 5-6 seconds of waiting. Probably would've still popped on the screen after quitting anyway but still.

Similar to Cor's achievement from Chapter 2, this can be a bit tricky to pull off since the command only comes up randomly. This one's even more difficult since you have to land the killing blow on this boss and not just any random enemy. When the boss' health is low, be sure to move away with Noctis to avoid doing extra damage. Your allies will likely continue to attack, so it's possible they will kill the boss before Aranea's ally command shows up, but hopefully when the boss has a sliver of health it will appear and she'll land the attack. It does over 3k damage, so if the boss is quite low it should take care of the job.
