I'm having the same problem. A lot of my achievements haven't been popping but I've completed that day 4 times now and it's not unlocking

Here is a guide on how to complete Day 77
To earn the "Burn the place down." trophy in Firewatch, you need to complete Day 77.
This day starts with a radio conversation. You need to look at the poster on the wall which details local trees, and focus on the second tree in from the top left and radio back. Once the conversation is done you will need to head back down the zig-zag path to the left (south) of the tower which you first travelled down on the previous day. Head across the river again and past Cache 307, and up into the tree-line. However instead of turning left (east) towards the scout camp as you did yesterday, you need to turn right (west) toward Cottonwood Creek. You will find a big dead tree dominating the space after a while. Go past it and follow the creek as it turns north. Eventually you will see Cache 308 - use code 5-6-7-8 to get in and grab the radio. Retrace your steps to the tower.
Note: Two missable, optional trophies are available to you now. See my respective guides on these pages for more details:
Assuming that you've either gotten those trophies or are ignoring them, let's assume you're back at your tower. Head behind the tower, down and back through the cave from your first couple of days. On the other side of the cave, head straight down Thunder Canyon to the left (west) and take the right path up the hill when the path forks (if you're at the lake, you've gone too far). Head up the rope and head back to the fence you couldn't open yesterday. Take your new axe to the padlock.
Note: If you head straight forward and open the phone box labelled Wapiti, an incident occurs which unlocks:
Follow the winding path all the way down, past some equipment, until you reach more equipment and a tent. Look right as soon as you enter the tent and open the crate. Pick up the Wave Receiver. Go to the table at the back and clear away the mess on the table, then pick up the black box underneath the mess. Head back up towards the fence, and an incident will occur on the stone bridge. After a brief conversation you are back at your tower.
Use the wave receiver to follow a signal, which is directly southwest. When the road forks you'll have to head north a bit before you can circle back to the southwest. Eventually you should find some brush to clear away, and a backpack. Take it and then hit the alarm underneath it with [cn_RT] to stop it. Examine the backpack and take what you need. After a radio conversation you want to rush back east to your tower. (Depending on which way you head back, there may be a tree along the way which you need to chop down to get access). When you get back to the tower, go upstairs and interact with the headphones taped to the door. As soon as the next day starts, you should get your trophy.
