How to unlock the Tactician achievement in Fishdom 3: Special Edition - Definitive Guide
The key is getting two bombs / pieces of dynamite near one another at the bottom of the screen. You get a bomb by making a 5 piece combo. So choose a level that has one pretty big playing field. Do not choose a playing field that consists of more than one part. To get both bombs to the bottom of the playing field just make small 3 piece combos. Only thing you've got to watch is not setting the bombs off on accident.
When you got them in position on the third or fourth line from the bottom, make sure both bombs explode in one go (move them towards eachother). They have a blast range of about two to three positions. With the explosion they will be taking with them a part of the playingfield. This will not be 120 pieces though..... :(
Enter the being lucky part: because of removing a part of the field new combos wil cascade down. Hopefully completing the 120 pieces clear off. If you don't get it first time. Don't be too worried. There'll be plenty of opportunities where you get bombs / dynamite close to one another. Good luck.
Cheers.
This achievement may be elusive for some time, and it's actually most likely to just happen inadvertently as you progress. You'll need to complete 400-500 levels to finish this game, so you've got plenty of opportunities. There are two main ways to force this to happen though:
- Create a ton of explosives near each other. Set off a chain reaction to destroy tons of tiles and then hope more matches happen as they fall.
- Make a solid use of electricity to eliminate a common tile and hope the combos keep coming.
Either way you'll want a large open level to do this on, one where combos are more likely as tiles fall. I got this with electricity on a big level. When electricity shows up, identify a tile next to it you'll use and purposely match away other tiles from the board to fill the board with as many of that tile as possible, then use it with the electricity to eliminate a lot of tiles and you should get lots of combos as the board fills back up.
