How to unlock the Bass Master achievement in Fishing Planet - Definitive Guide
First of all, as of July 15, 2019, fish achievements seem to be popping at 150 fish caught. This may change.
Many fish can be farmed at the Lone Star Lake, which has no travel cost so it is ideal for a lot of early fishing and farming for credits. You also don't have to have a larger keepnet since you don't have to pay to return to the lake.
I'm writing this guide as a potential credit farming guide. Catching bass and pickerel is a great way to get you more credits at little cost. This will help you move to higher level lakes without spending money.
Make sure you buy the Texas Advanced license for 200. Otherwise you'll have to throw back any Spotted Bass you catch, and those are your money fish. You'll also have to throw back your trophy fish.
Among the different types of bass is the Spotted Bass, which is common near the pier at Lone Star. I stand on the left side, using a spinning rod. This may be the first upgrade to your tutorial telescopic rod. I bought the ValuSpin 6' 3", but have since upgraded to the FeatherLight 6' 3".
You'll need a spin reel, too. I started with a MiniSpin 800, but have since upgraded to an EspiraSlim 1000.
I highly recommend purchasing a casting spoon like the Casting Spoon 14 Oz. #1/0. Gold seems to work well. You have to be level 6 to buy this. I also upgraded my line to Mono .008".
First of all, make sure you fish at the right time. If you need to fast forward time, press X while standing by the lake. I seem to have had the best luck when the bite times are in the early morning.
I've had the most luck so far by standing to the left of the pier. I used a line about 135 feet long, and cast it about 110 feet. You want to cast across the lake between the lilies (not IN the lilies) and slowly drag (stop & go) your lure back to you. You'll get Spotted Bass bite further out, and Grass Pickerel closer to shore or the pier.
Using this method, I caught 6 fish with 6 casts (4 bass and 2 pike), and another time I caught 3 bass and 1 pike in 4 casts (3 minutes). I uploaded a clip of the 4 catches.
Can I guarantee these locations? No way. If you have better locations, please feel free to leave them in the comments.
Hope this helps!

I find it best to stand in the middle of the wooden walkway and cast out into the middle of the lake. If you get a catch keep fishing there, as it seems that they group together.
Once it dries out a bit then try turning around and casting into the area with all the lily pads.
Also you want to make sure you are fishing in peak time.

Peak time is a definite.
It's not a perfect solution, just trying to note down some things since I had to figure out a lot of this stuff myself. The game has a learning curve.

Just adding to what this guy has said, I have done quite well at Missouri River.
Get yourself a spinning rod with a spinning reel, I also used a jig head and small grubs. Head to the top left beach on the map, stand on the far left of the beach and cast as far as possible on a tight line down the reeds on the left. I just use a slow straight return and you get youngmouth basses fairly often.
Occasionally you’ll land a bigger bass and early game you can’t keep hold of it as your set up will probably be too weak

Having received 5 lvl, we buy a spinning rod, there are two of them, take the more expensive one, the hook and bait are cheaper, the strongest line possible, we go out to the starting lake on the bridge, from 13-00 every third cast - bass 0.5-0.8 kg, so If you grab a kukan, you will also catch a pike. I didn't catch a single one with a fishing rod.
