Have done this several times, and it hasn't popped yet.

are you playing on story mode or normal? Because I found out by googling it that the achievements will not pop on story mode

This one's quite simple. As soon as you unlock the first hamlet, or at any subsequent one, simply press 
to shoot your gun while standing inside the coffee shop where the weird Host creature is to get this achievement.
