How to unlock the The Boffin's Boffin achievement in Flock - Definitive Guide

This is the grindiest achievement as you have to collect creatures until each individual bar is filled up per family.

Finish the story and collect the feed bag. It will make this a lot easier. Also probably already known but you can fly faster when you press RT as soon as your birds wings come back up.

Also worth noting. A creature's rarity does not matter in terms of XP, so you can collect the common versions of each creature and still get the same amount of XP. Also highly recommend turning on "Easy Charming" in the settings.

I will list each family and what helped me the most.

COSMETS: Just roam the Uplands Flower area, you'll find these guys literally everywhere.
BEWLS: Same as the Cosmets. The Basking Bewl are little purple creatures lying everywhere in the game on Concretes. Usually groups of 3-4 of them can be found.
THRIPS: During Nighttime, the Darting Thrips in the Wetlands(Bewl Roost) roam around in groups of 3, you can easily charm all 3 at a time just Hold LT while approaching them to charm before they can fly away.
SKYFISH: These were the ones that took the longest for me personally. I found the Feeding Spot next to the Hill of Holes area to pretty consistently spawn a Male Painted Skyfish. I also found the Feeding Spot under the same mushroom where you find the Bellowing Skyfish(or whatever you named it) to pretty consistently spawn a Barbeled Skyfish. The Gormless Skyfish can sometimes be found circling the concrete circles in the Wetlands or in one of the bowls at the Painted Bowls.
PIPERS: can find plenty of Purple Pipers just flying around in the daytime of the Mossy area.
RUSTICS: Found Bartlett's Pale Rustics to be very easily found at the Wetlands during the daytime. Just fly around and holding LT look for the pink tip sticking out of the ground next to other Reeds.
WINNOWS: Dancing Winnows can be found hopping all around the Wetlands(especially at night) and Crested Male Winnows can be found all over between the Sheltered Grove and Rivers End.
GLEEBS: Gallus Gleebs can be found everywhere in the plains/grasslands near The Pavilions.
BAFFINS: Sprung Baffins can be found jumping out of the dirt at the Wetlands. You can also use the feeding spots around the Wetlands and they will consistently spawn Dappled Baffins.
DRUPES: Easiest Drupes to collect are the Bartlett's Drupe and the Balsamic Drupe. Balsamic Drupes can be found in threes roaming the Verdant Bridge. Bartlett's Drupes can be found all over the waters in between the Sheltered Grove and The Rivers End. You can also find a Feeding Spot that will consistently spawn Bartlett's Drupes on the hill on the right side of the Sheltered Grove.
SPRUGS: Parasol Sprugs can be found all around the Mossy area, usually in groups of 3. I found rushing up to them easier to be able to charm them. You can also use feeding spots all around the Mossy area to pretty consistently spawn them.
BURBOTS: The Common Burbot is the easiest one to charm. Much like the Rustics, during the daytime you can find mud piles that will look out of place, just hold LT to observe and collect from there.

I'd also recommend turning all the graphics options to low if on PC (though keep the draw distance at its highest), as it makes spotting creatures much easier. No idea if you can do that on console.

To add: Gormless Skyfish seemingly only spawn during the day (on the half circles on one end of the wetlands), in which case there should be 1-4 of them.

What I did for Skyfish was I started off there, then when everything was charmed I went towards the Hill of Holes, from my experience during the day there'll be 0-3 roaming around (one next to the forest, one next to the grafitti holes, and one next to the trees in the middle where there are feeders), and also use that feeder as it can spawn Skyfish. Then I went to the Skyfish Caves and used the feeder for 0-2 Skyfish. If it was night I stayed there, otherwise I looped around.

For Burbots, the feeders in the Mossy area can spawn up to 3 Emerald Burbots, the one that's just next to the main path being the one to spawn most often.

I found the Barbeled Skyfish to be the easiest of the Skyfish to farm. Run a short circuit between the feeder behind the cave at Skyfish Caverns and another feeder that's near the end of Mossy Boulevard (turn right at Mossbottom Pasture, behind the platform with Baskings Bewls). You can take the boost rocks back and forth as well. There's another feeder in between these two, but in my experience, that one never spawned a Skyfish.

Wandering Drupes are also common north of the Sheltered Grove. There's a feeder at the highest point near the Male Crested Winnow "event" that frequently spawned Wandering Drupes for me. You could pair that with a water route/ ground feeders for Barlett's Drupes.

While the Pale Rustics are plentiful, Cinereous Rustics were my go-to at the Pavillions. Just watch where they hide and wait like 2 seconds for them to emerge and charm, or use the feeder.

Nice Guide!

This achievement literally ruins the game, hahaha.

Not a great system to reward the same XP regardless of animal rarity. At least a bonus for having similar flock species would've been reasonable. Such a strange decision.

The quickest route for skyfish I've found is starting at the hill of holes, search for Painted and Gormless in the bowls, then hit the feeder, fly across the swamp lookin for gormless at the sunken basins, then the skyfish caverns feeders and just run that back and forth.

Burbots, the swamp is lousy during the day with commons, just prowl around the swampy mud patches.
