As soon as you put the wheels on the ground, reduce the throttle to 0% and press Y to activate the airbrakes.

Schwedagon Pagoda is biggest spire-like building in center of city of Rangoon. You have to land on paved square on which pagoda is placed, with smaller buildings around it.
Pick Rangoon map in free flight and try with some slower, easier to control plane like Vildebeest or Lysander.
