Squad Missions are the cooperative PVE mode in the game. Waves of enemies come at you and try to attack your base, while your team tries to fend them off. Hard difficulty is very difficult, and will be a serious challenge even with experienced teammates.

Here are some general tips for Squad Missions:

0) Don't bother playing on hard until you've played a lot of Normal matches. Not only will you gain valuable experience and learn what to expect from each enemy type, you'll also get points after each match that you can spend on permanent upgrades.

1) Between each wave, you get to choose from 3 different upgrades. Anything that contributes to your shot damage will be incredibly important - particularly the shot damage upgrade and fire rate upgrade. If you manage to get the penguin buddy upgrade, that is amazing as well. For hard, you're probably going to want to grab at least one damage reduction as well.

2) FOAM THE ARENA. ALWAYS BE FOAMING. Not only does this help your team move around, enemies move slower on the foam. You have a few seconds before a wave starts after picking your upgrade, there is no excuse to not be foaming the arena during this time. Grabbing a foam volume upgrade will make this go a lot quicker and allow you to get a ton of foam out.

3) Giant pigs will wipe your entire team, and very likely cause you to lose. If a giant pig appears target it IMMEDIATELY with everything you have. It's okay to let some other smaller enemies through if killing the giant pig prevents a team wipe.

4) Bats will snipe you from across the map. If you see a pink beam headed in your direction, start moving until it stops! Try to kill the bats quickly to prevent these disruptions.

Good luck, this is easily the hardest trophy in the game. Once you think you're ready, join in and hope you get a good group!
