Football Manager 2006

Very easy achievement to accomplish, you dont need to wait to be offered an international job, but nevertheless you could wait until you've gotten the achievement of being offered an international job.

But its just as easy to just take control off a second player and take over a top international side like England, Spain or Germany and all you've got to do is just finish at the top of your qualifiying group. The games you should win easily but you should save before each game incase so if you do manage to lose you can simply reload your game and play again.

Or you could just take over the opposition team and place all their players on the wings so you team will be guarenteed a very high score victory.

If your not wanting to do this at the same time as going for your league and cup achievements then just put your first player as a international manager and just skip through thr season until your qualifier games. It is just easier though getting this as you work through your club achievements.

I know this is and old game but seems I recently won this achievement and there was no solution to it, I thought I would try to help others out.

To get this achievement I started a new game with Australian league only (to make simulation go faster). Selected to manage England, then simply went on holiday and waited for England to qualify for Euro 2008 as the World Cup 2006 qualifications have already started when you start the game. Any major European nation will work (just don't choose Greece as they get a bye to next round due to winning Euro 2004....).

Turning off autosave under preferences from the main menu will make things move a little faster.
