Simply sign a player for this achievement, whether free (end of a contract, contract expiring or out of contract) or for money.

The quickest and easiest way of getting this achievement is to simply go to the transfer market and search free transfers as its quicker to sign someone who doesnt have a club rather than bidding for a player and waiting for negotiations to happen and sign them. Whereas a free transfer is a lot quicker and wont cost you as much as just buying a random player.

These menues are horrible....can you guide me on where to go to get to the transfer market

Hi mate, sorry I've only just seen your message. I would of been glad to help but no longer have the game to quickly look on it to guide you through the menus I'm afraid.
