How to unlock the Win 20 Cup Competitions achievement in Football Manager 2006 - Definitive Guide

Theres a few different ways online that people say you can get this. I tried all of them for 4-5 days straight and none of them worked.
This is confirmed how me and TSG Dwaggie got it.
He got it by just simming the australian league with all 8 teams and it unlocked (he was doing progress towards 20 seasons without getting fired so it might of just been very good luck that it unlocked this way) however when i tried it that way it didn't unlock i had to do the following.
1. Pick Chelsea- They are in the English Premier Division
2. Pick No Other Teams
3. Make sure to win every cup you can including community shield and the other little competitions such as the super cup and whatever else you get invited to. The only thing that didnt count for me was the league itself but the league cup counted. So did the club championship.
4. Use the save sim method to make sure you win just make sure to win the cup matches the league regular matches dont matter but make sure to win a few so you dont get fired.
5. If i struggled i selected a new user and made the team for them whoever my opponent was. So say i was playing against arsenal i picked them. I went into the tatics and put a striker at goalie and made sure the real goalies were on the bench i then picked a random circle that was not present on the board (you can see these when you press x they are clear) and made all the positions point towards that circle.
6. I then simmed the match if i won i continued if not i reloaded.
7. Repeat till you get 20 cups and it pops on cup 20.
You can track your progress by pressing LB going to your manager name then press rb and select information.
*Note: If i got fired and went to another team the achievement did not unlock. If i added other teams by new user their progress did not go towards my 20.

the quickest way is proberly to pick man unt as they will providing you win the league and the champions league put you in extra cup compertions winnining the league gets you in the charity sheild cup and winning the champions league will get you into the world club championship so giving the chanch to win 5 cups a season x 5 seasons is twenty you will want play and save and dont lose games or it will take alot longer

Good solution. However, your maths seem a little off (5 cups x 5 seasons is 25) So you could do this within the first 4 seasons

This as far as I'm aware is on one save. This achievement should be easy enough to get when you are going for 20 seasons at one club achievement, simply because if you don't win cups then you will not stay in a job. All types of cups count for this achievement, whether it be European or Domestic competitions. Remember to win all those one off cup matches, such as the Community Shield, the European Super Cup and the World Club Cup.
