How to unlock the Scottish Promotion Challenge achievement in Football Manager 2007 - Definitive Guide
Okay. So there are two ways to do this; The Respectable Method and the Shameful Method.
This guide will tell you how to get the achievement using the Shameful Method, as it takes about 6 hours in total, and requires no management skills or football knowledge.
Step 1: Start a New Game in Scotland.
- There are only 10 teams in the first, second and third divisions in Scotland, meaning you can take control of all the teams in a division at one time.
- Create a new manager for every team in the Third Division.
- For each manager, choose to go on holiday for one year.
Step 2: Promotions.
- Whichever team wins the Third Division should be designated your winning team.
- Resign all other managers, as they are no longer needed.
- Create new managers for each of the other nine teams in the Second Division.
- For each of these new managers, change their tactics to something suicidal (goalkeeper rushing out, no defenders, etc)
- Now go on holiday indefinitely, ensuring that the assistant manager uses the same tactics.
- Your designated 'winning team' should have no problems winning most games and winning the leagues.
- Once your second season is up, retire the other nine managers and create new managers for the First Division.
Step 3: Collect Your Achievement.
- The moment your promotion is mathematically confirmed, your achievement should unlock.
Notes:
To further ensure your success, sign better/new players each year and set your assistant to renew contracts.
You may also wish to take control of the richer teams in Scotland (Rangers/Celtic) and transfer all of their money to your designated 'winning team'.

Missing the most vital information! You have to press X while hovering over a country to be able to pick the lowest division. Took me ages and only found out when messaging someone who had done this achievement recently.

i used dumbarton, jus try and build your team after every season, keep contracts updated.
if you are finding t difficult which you will when you get i the higher leagues, remember to save after major wins and key moments. and if you have to add new user as next opposition, change there tactics so there is no1 in the middle of the pitch. put them on holiday for 1 (match) day and tick 'use current match tactics'. 9/10 you will win, or atleast a draw so you will be promoted in no time.

I Recommend using either Dumbarton or Berwick, although Queens Park are also a good team to use due to their 52,500 capacity stadium.
