How to unlock the Rushed Signing achievement in Football Manager 2020 - Definitive Guide

This is the way I got the achievement I didn't understand how to do it at first.
1. Go to the scouting page on the left hand side.
2. Clear all the scouting reports there be clicking Acknowledge.
3. Make sure you have the Scouting Responsibility set to A Staff member (not yourself)
4. Next to that you will see Scouting Focus click it, The click short-Term
5.Select New Focus then make Duration to 1 week (I actually think I did it on 2 weeks) and put the current Ability to 1 star and potential to 2 stars means you will get more results.
6.On the scouts Assigned bit make sure you select All Scouts. so 6/6 or 4/4 or 12/12 how ever many you have.
7. Go on a few days and you should see some players in the scouting tab and just sign one.
I do think you should be able to put the duration up to what ever time amount but I haven't tested this but that is what is defined as a short term scouting focus.

Ok so i finally got this to pop. I tried numerous times with Manchester City and at least once with Celtic. Couldn't get it to pop no matter what. Finally tried PSG and after signing David Silva it popped. I was doing nothing different with Celtic and Man City so I think this is buggy at worst. The only thing I would say to watch out for is the achievement description says "recommended by your scouting team" but when you do the short term focus you also get players toured by agents and recommended by your director of football and assistant manager. Just make sure it is one that is recommended by the scouts. It tell you in the top left of the card who is making the recommendation. Also only other thing I did slightly different with PSG was I made offers on 2 recommended players, Silva, Ajer and one other. All were accepted and all were offered contracts they were happy with. Doubt that affected it since only one signed when it popped but worth trying So do exactly as above but perhaps try PSG.

Thank you I'd bought players from the list but must of not been from the scouts, I've now got the achievement 👍🏻
