main points
- delegate all responsibilities to other staff
- in matches use commentary only, no replays etc
- in preferences > advanced > set continue game timeout to instant
- after every match > go to home > my profile > go on holiday until next match
pick a good team or build a team capable of winning the league every season and if you win the league title, it will pretty much guarantee a manager of the year award. you will get the rare occasion where other managers win it but its not very often and usually a lower position team overachieving. the award is solely based off the league and no other competition
save and reload if needed, to shave off a little bit more time you could purposely lose in other competitions so your main focus is on league but its not totally necessary.
you will find out who won the award at the transition period between seasons where you get a slideshow of your progress/details of your past season, you can also check who won by going to competitions > premier division > awards > manager of the year

So i sort of did this.
I just went on holiday (with 4 week intervals so i can check in) and then, tahhh dahhhh, my assistant manager won the award. Any ideas?

Yeah not sure how this works, been on holiday for 20 years in Northern Ireland league and have 0 awards after winning the league 12 years and 43 cups
