A few pointers:
- This is calculated within a single career, rather than cumulative across your various saves.
- Your progress can be tracked under Home - My History - Overview.
- Bigger teams will pay more money (like in real life), even at the biggest clubs though there is still plenty of margin for increasing your salary if you are successful and get a contract renewal. If you start at a big club and do well, you are looking at 3-4 years for the achievement, as your second contract should lead to a big salary rise, and so quicker progress.
- This achievement can be obtained by going on holiday (and if you just want this achievement, this speeds it up significantly.) However, getting sacked will stall your progress, so I would advise semi-regular saves, and potentially some manual intervention. My strategy was to make a couple of signings in the summer to ensure the squad was strong, and then to holiday all season but with saves every few months so spells of bad form could be undone.
- For the reasons stated above, the best teams for this achievement are your traditional big hitters, e.g. PSG, Bayern, Man City. However, by all means go a different route and combine this with other achievements.
