To get this within 5 minutes, start up a game with Brighton in the English Premier Division. Their record signing is £19.8 million, and they have a starting transfer budget of £70 million. I signed Max Aarons from Norwich City for £40 million (they instantly accepted this offer) although any low price player that ends up costing you £19.9 million or more will net you this achievement.

Yep this works great. I had Everton show some interest in him but he signed for me anyway

To quickly find him go to the drop box in the top left, it currently says 'overview', select General Info then move the cursor to the 'name' column and click/press button to order by surname. Move back up to the top of the list and Aarons should be second from the top (or close by)

A quick way I found to get this achievement was to start a Quick Start game as Brighton in the Premier League, go to Scouting, and bid £51m for the highest-valued player on the recommended list (for me, Joao Pedro of Watford).
I got this within 5mins by:
- Ignoring all emails until the transfer was complete, except for those that were 'Must Respond'
- Declining all press questions / conferences, as they are optional
- Delegating everything to Assistant Manager, thus avoiding having to manage 2 friendlies
- Convincing the Board to allow the transfer to go through
Do this, and you get this and the "Splashing the Cash" achievement at the same time.
I got this within 5mins by:
