You need to win a continental competition (AFCON, AFC Asian Cup, Copa America, or UEFA Euros) or the World Cup.

The AFC Solidarity Cup, the African Nations Cup (not to be confused with AFCON), the Nations League, and Youth Cups should not count.

When starting a new game, the quickest options would be in January 2024:
- 2023 AFC Asian Cup (use South Korea). The date is accurate, it has been delayed.
- 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) (use Nigeria or Morocco). Again, this is a delayed tournament.

If you wait until June 2024:
- 2024 Copa America (use Argentina or Brazil).
- 2024 UEFA Euros (use England, France, Italy).
- 2024 OFC Nations Cup (date TBD) (use New Zealand). This one might not work, despite it being one of the six continental confederations. It lacks prestige so might not be classed as 'major' per the achievement description.

In 2025 (probably summer (June), date TBC)
- CONCACAF Gold Gup (Mexico or USA).

The World Cup:
- 2026. Use one of any of the big nations (Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain). Hard to say who will be the best side in 3 years.

Save and reload before games in case you lose.

Attempted to do the 2024 UEFA Euros, won every game, crowned victor, no achievement. Not certain this one works for it.

I unlocked the achievement winning the Euros. Have you progressed a few days? Sometimes they unlock when team of the tournament is announced.

Just tried it again, went through a second season just in case, and got nothing. What team did you use for it?

I used England. That's strange, might be a bug. Did you play the games or do it on holiday? I know I used the Instant Result feature as I had to reload a few games.

I did career mode as England as well. Strange, maybe I'll try it a third time and it'll be the charm. I had an issue with Manager of the Month too, so it won't surprise me if its something I'm doing wrong.

Are you on holiday? Holiday mode does not work for Manager of the Month, and it might not work here.

You didn't go on holiday between games either? I'm wondering if that's stopping you unlock it. Your assistant would have chosen the squad instead of you.

They should be, as they were officially licensed this year. I no longer have Geme Pass to check. Anyway, all national teams should be available. It might be based on what leagues you have loaded, which would be strange.

Are you unable to start a new game as the manage of Japan, even if the J-League is loaded?

Ended up using SOUTH KOREA and beat Japan in my final game to get the achievement..... very odd!

Yeah, I can't choose Japan either. I'll just go with South Korea instead.
