The caravan!
To begin with, a word about the caravan.
It appears no matter the difficulty, don't hesitate to play on easy and increase your Arsenal points to take stronger weapons and coins to buy items.
It appears on a perimeter of 10 tiles around the first city in your chapter.
If it is not there, reload the chapter.
When you enter the caravan, you will fight an enemy who has about 70 life points and who hits quite hard so be armed and with your whole group.
Once defeated, the mercenary will join your party.

Step 1: in Chapter 5.
You have to choose the pinecone method to get to the queen's base (You'll have another achievement too).
You will face Sunderbone during the main quest of the Arctic Teleporter and he will join your party (Useful to do in virtuoso mode).
Step 2.
Rescue him in a mercenary caravan during another game.
Personally, I got it while replaying chapter 1.
