How to unlock the Miser achievement in For The King - Definitive Guide
You need 5000 on hand across your party at one time. Doing battles and town quests choosing the Gold option are good ways to save. If you’re getting close, you can sell all your inventory and then reload after the cheevo pops. I received 5000 at once when I defeated the final boss of the Frost Adventure.
There doesn’t seem to be a time limit to completing Frost Adventure so seems you could keep doing map battles until you have enough if the final boss is too tough.

I can confirm that I also received one lump sum of 5,000 gold for beating the Frost Adventure boss on Apprentice.

Also confirmed on Apprentice. We also got 2,000 from the four levels on the way to the dragon, shame to gain 7,000 gold for no real purpose!

There are three ways you could go about doing this, should you so choose.
1) Play the game normally and don't fret about it. If you're out and about levelling, selling stuff you don't need, and conquering everything that comes your way, you shouldn't have much challenge. Either playing solo, duo, or trio, the gold available to you is counted across all players for the sake of this trophy. If one has 1300 and the other 3700, the trophy would still unlock.
2) Have one your party members be covered in %Gold Multiplier items. Gold obtained from quest rewards, loot from the end of a fight, and even returned gold previously pilfered by a thief before they could flee; all three scenarios are increased by the multiplier, meaning it's a positive for sure. Some suggestions might be to even have one of the members be a multiplier piggy bank simply for the time it saves. If you have 25% multiplier and a thief steals 500 gold, you would get 500 gold + 125 gold back from claiming it on that character!
3) On the "Frost Adventure" campaign, the reward for the final boss is stated to be 5,000 gold on its own. That alone would be enough to unlock the trophy for completion.

Kind of misleading, as you only need to have 5000 gold across your party, not on a single character. Easily attainable by finishing "Frostbite Peak" in the Frost Campaign

Just like with a trophy worth 1,500 gold, you need to have it in your pocket, it’s quite difficult, since you can only have that kind of money towards the end of the “For the King” campaign, but at that time the prices in stores will be monstrous, and there will be it's hard to save money. The easiest way to do this is at the “apprentice” difficulty level; on others with money it will be even worse.

You can try to get it in the later stages of the game (difficult) or after successfully completing the Ice Adventure scenario.
Ice Adventure Company last story mission, kill the dragon. After killing him, you will be given 5k coins as a reward.

You can ignore this trophy, everything about completing the Dragon Slayer trophy will fall out on its own.
