How to unlock the Above and Beyond achievement in Forspoken - Definitive Guide
If you need a farming location go to the Dianthus Wood Refuge in Dianthus Wood. From Cipal, go South through The Blessed Plains to The Guardians' Way, then head East and you'll pass the Breakzombies as you reach the Refuge and unlock the fast travel point. You can then kill the zombies to boost challenges, fast travel away, and then come back to reset the zombies.
Here were a couple challenges that were tricky:
Tempest Lv. 2: the challenge description is incomplete. You have to defeat the final enemy in a battle while your screen is cracked. So kill a bunch of enemies except for one, let that last enemy take away all your health and break your shield, and then use the spell to kill them.
Hide and Seek: to pull this off you need Green magic that's 150+. Just hold the left and right bumpers and spam triangle for about 10 seconds and you'll zip across the battlefield and unlock this.
Seeker Dart Lv. 3 & Maelstrom: these both require you to attack downed enemies. The easiest way to down an enemy is to unequip your cloak and necklace (so you don't kill them) and use Olas' Projection to knock them down.
Alb: The unblockable/piercing attack is the one that flashes purple on the enemies' chest before they strike. Can be farmed at the Dianthus Wood Refuge.
Leach: to become poisoned (purple shield symbol), go to the Mustering Ground Belfry (Southeast corner of the world. Right when you get out there will be a half dozen of the Stegotretus (crocodiles) and their breath attack will poison you. Get poisoned, heal with the spell, then hit them with Scatter Shot to build up Leach and get poisoned again, rinse and repeat.
Aegis: right next to the Breakzombies in the farming area are birds (Teratornis) whose spit reduces your defense. Get hit by it and heal, then kill them with Blast Slice to build you Aegis back up, rinse and repeat.
Ablution: Can be done in any Breakstorm against nightmares. Go to Farcoast Terrace in the North, almost all the way West, and there is a perpetual Breakstorm. Get hit by nightmares and get the purple star symbol above your health bar, cast Ablution to get rid of it, kill enemies to refill, get status-afflicted again, heal once more to complete the challenge.

Great collection, thanks! I was having troubles with Seeker Dart because enemies were dying too quickly without a chance of being knocked down, so I just used a Monument of Wisdom near Junoon Castle Town called the Tempest. It summons a boss with quite a lot of HP that you can surely knock down at least once and then hit it with about a dozen of shots. And you can replay the challenge to get the rest. (And because it spawns demons, it's good to accumulate damage for spellcrafting challenges that require that.)

Not only do you need to learn all spells, you need to complete all spellcraft challenges for every spell. The easiest way to do this is pick 3 and complete them as you go. As soon as they are complete fast travel to a refuge and pick 3 more rinse and repeat until you have all 105
Perhaps one of the most time-consuming and annoying trophies in the game, is none other than the Above and Beyond trophy. It requires that not only do you get all 105 spells (which you need to do for the Paragon trophy anyway), but it requires you upgrade them as well.
If you want to upgrade a spell in Forspoken, you need to do two things: 1. Firstly unlock the spell; 2. Visit one of the bookcases that you find in the Archives in Cipal and in Refuges, and accept a Spell Challenge for said spell.
The challenges can vary from doing a certain amount of damage and killing flying enemies, to multi-kills and using a spell to finish off the last person in a group. They vary from spell to spell. Once you’ve completed the relevant Spell Challenge for the spell in question, head into the Magic menu in the main menu, and then hold over the completed challenge.
Annoyingly, you can only take 3 Spell Challenges at a time, so you’re going to have to “work” on these spells and their upgrades as you go. If you start early, and pay attention to this as you go, you’ll probably do a fair few before the game is up. However, that can possibly slow you down along the way as well.
The best way is to, yes, you guessed it, spawn in at the Dianthus Wood Refuge and head out and down the hill. Here you can farm the vast majority of the spell upgrades. The only ones you won’t be able to get here are the one related to specific weaknesses/vulnerabilities, flying enemies, traversal, and maybe a few more, but the sheer amount of Breakzombies here make it easy to farm everything else.
Just bear in mind that some of the spells are a little finicky to meet their requirements. So much so that the Tempest spell (level 2) is currently bugged - the one where you have to kill the last enemy in a group with it. It's straight up broken. I tried it multiple times and it just wouldn’t register (I even finished a boss off with it… no joy) - consider this one bugged/glitched for the time being.

For this achievement, you must first collect all the spells (see Paragon (50G)) and then complete the associated spell challenge to upgrade them, which increases their power and your innate magic power in that spell set as well. Most of the challenges are fairly simple for using the spell a certain number of times, or hitting X number of enemies at once with it. Some though are quite annoying, especially the ones for hitting downed enemies or curing specific status ailments. For a complete list of all the spells and the associated challenges, as well as tips on how/where to complete them, see HERE.
Remember that you can only have three spell challenges equipped at the same time, and can only swap them out at the bookshelves located in Pilgrim's Refuges (or some towers). Visit any refuge marked with the icon once you complete a challenge to upgrade the spell and choose a new challenge to work on.

Warning: See the glitch mentioned in the Road Map that could affect this achievement. To be safe, complete at the very least the Tempest Level 2 spell challenge before Chapter 11 is complete. None of the other challenges require the block or Killer Blow abilities, so even if the glitch happens so long as you got that challenge out of the way you'll be fine doing the rest in post-game.

If you have difficulty improving a green magic spell, where you need to finish off 20 knocked down enemies with lightning, it can be easily done if you put the appropriate enchantments on your cloak and necklace that help knock you down, then swing a regular attack with a sword (red magic, quick presses ), and switch to green magic as soon as the enemy falls.
It is not the number of killed enemies that counts, but the number of lightning strikes on one enemy on the ground.

Magic Olas, Storm lvl. If you can't fulfill the condition in any way, it's not a bug. These are problems with the localization of the game. Moreover, not only in the Russian version. When translating the game from Japanese, the condition for completing the test was lost somewhere. The condition for fulfillment is to use the spell on the last enemy when the main character’s health level is critically low (indicator is cracks in the corners of the screen).

To improve spells, you need to find a bookcase (towers or safe houses), activate the condition for upgrading the spell and fulfill it. Most will not cause difficulties; some, due to clumsy translation and description, may cause problems.
