How to unlock the Survivor Specialist achievement in Fortnite - Definitive Guide

Side quest after stage 1 of main quest. Requires you to evolve a survivor. Start by spending survivor XP on one to level them to ten, then unlock the skill tree node for survivor evolution. Go back in the survivor menu like you are going to level them but press evolve instead. It will require more materials than just XP, like training manuals and drops of rain.

Side quest to develop a survivor. We upgrade the survivor to level 10 and after that we also open the corresponding skill on the skill tree. After this, the corresponding development button appears - we poke it and develop, and then we get a trophy.
