How to unlock the Uncanny! achievement in Fortnite - Definitive Guide

EDIT 7/28/18: As of the 5.10 Update on July 24, 2018, the previous lists of quests/missions required to progress through Canny Valley have been converted into optional side quest missions and with the addition of a partial story line for Canny Valley, has been replaced by all new missions.

EDIT 7/1/19: There have been a number of updates since the one on 6/24/18, and the requirements for the achievement have changed again since Canny Valley now has a complete story line. New/Updated solution added.

REMOVED 7/28/18: Old quest list and achievement requirements.
REMOVED 7/1/19: Previous requirements as of 7/24/18 update.

As TromboneGuy360 has confirmed in the comments, you need to complete all of the Canny Valley missions to get the achievement. You can still complete Storm Shield Defenses 1-6 back to back and then the Launch the Rocket mission to progress to Twine Peaks without doing all of the Canny Valley missions, but you will not earn the achievement.

The Canny Valley story line consists of 19 pages for a total of 69 quests, this includes Storm Shields 1-6 and Launch the Rocket. As you complete each quest a green check mark will be placed next to each quest to show completion. They must be done in the listed order. Any Storm Shields/Launch the Rocket quests you have completed prior are retroactive and you will be given credit for them when you reach that particular quest in the list.

The vast majority of quests require you to find/collect X item in a certain level of zone. You are not confined to any particular mission type, so you can play whichever ones you want. Though at least half of the quests require you to complete them in a Ghost Town zone and depending on what's loaded on the map, you may be confined to 1 or 2 mission types.

You can view the current quests, requirements, and rewards related to Story progress at the wiki here:

Please inform me of any additional updates or changes that you feel may be needed to solution in the comments.

If you think this is going to take long. Wait till you do Twine Peaks, add another 20 quests, and another 69 missions.

I have Twine unlocked. Completed 3 SSD’s too. Im at page 11 or 12 out of 19 for Canny. I’m betting now you have to complete all the missions on all the pages. :/

Feel free to add me if you like! This game is fun. I’m Power Level 60 right now. I would love help on Teine SSD’s and have someone else to play with to raise my power level to make missions easier, more fun, and play the higher level missions.

There is a possibility that it has glitched or is delayed in unlocking. Did you unlock Twine Peaks after completing the Launch the Rocket mission? If you did or didn't, the requirements for the achievement may have been updated yet again since I last updated this solution. For that I do apologize.

Unfortunately I cannot confirm the current requirements, as when I did this achievement it was back before Canny Valley even had a storyline. It was just some 150+ mission quests that required you to play 2-3 of "X type of mission" in order to unlock all 6 storm shield battles in order to progress to Twine Peaks.

Based on the link I provided in the solution and the fact that I've gotten back into playing Fortnite's Save the World mode to actually do the Canny Valley storyline, you might have to complete all the main storyline missions in Canny Valley now that Epic has completed/added the entire storyline, as they have introduced 4-5 more updates since they first changed it in July of 2018. At that time, they had only added half the storyline missions, so the requirements were still to only play the 6 storm shields and then the launch the rocket mission. As unlocking Twine Peaks as a playable area when doing so would pop the achievement.

Have you completed all of the storyline quests? If you have not played through all 64 (I think) storyline quests (which is still a lot less than it was originally), trying looking at your current quest line for Canny and see where it shows you. If you do not have a green checkmark next to all the mission quests on the 19 quest pages for Canny Valley, start doing them from wherever it has your last checkmark. Any storm shields you have completed will be retroactive and you will get credit for them (as I have) when you reach that specific quest. I do no know if you will need to replay the Launch the Rocket mission again or not, as I can't find any mention of that being retroactive and currently I am only on 11 of 19 of the Canny quests (shows Storm Shield 4 with my last checkmark). So I am still working my way through them.

If you complete all the storyline quests and the achievement pops, then I will update the solution and give credit to you for confirming the new requirements. If it doesn't pop, then it may have glitched.

If someone else is able to confirm the new requirements please let me know and I will update the solution accordingly.

As of Save The World's first birthday update, you no longer have required missions in order to complete the defense missions and finally the rocket mission at the end that gets you to the fourth area.
However I still decided to write up a guide covering all the main missions. It's not a super detailed guide as most people at this point in the game should understand how these missions work, mainly I just felt like letting people know how many missions it takes to complete some of the required goals.

Why would you want to complete these missions? Well they all have "lore" attached to them, which for me motivates me to continue playing games against AI enemies.
The other reason which is probably more important to most other people is the tons of free crap you'll get which will help you level up and fare better further in to the game.
This can range from higher rarity characters, schematics and various in-game currencies like the ones used to buy event Llama pinatas or event items or even v-bucks (which carry over to Battle Royale for those of you that play that mode too).

Guide is a work in progress, I've only completed the first third of all missions listed here and I only have half of the missions in Canney Valley listed. If you guys feel I should put more info then please let me know.

Just wanted to say after just finishing storm shield 6, the launch the rocket mission becomes available in your side quests however you’ll need to be at least power level 58 before you can actually launch the mission through the map

After patch 5.1 in July 2018, you can skip all those quest and do storm shield defence 1~6, then launch the rocket mission, and get this achievement.

(As long as you have enough power level, or have someone help. Just want to point out that all quests are not required for this after the update.)

You also need to complete the tasks after the 6th defense of the shield in the Things Valley. By the way, after completing the last missions you will also be given the rarest game soundtrack in the game, it sounds much better in Russian localization.
