After acquiring the Jeep Wrangler you can either go for the Cuda or the GT-R, to acquire the GT-R you first need to come in the top 3 of a street race and then you can go against the owner of the GT-R for pinks.
Once you beat him fast travel back to the garage from the map using then press / (For manual users) to enter the garage and the achievement is yours.

Yeah, this is still glitched. I waited over 24 hours for it to fire after getting the car and still no joy. Here is what I did to resolve the issue by deleting the save file and redoing the challenge as many have stated. You can also maintain your game progress if you follow these steps (the Xbox menus have changed, these instructions describe the interface as of the Fall 2017 updates).
**If the game is running, you must quit the game before proceeding**
- Delete the game save file from your local storage (Games & Apps, Manage, Select the "Save Data" option, then delete the file).
- Turn off the network in the System Settings, as the rest of this you must do offline.
(System, Network, select the "Go Offline" box). This works for wired and wireless connections.
- Restart the game.
You must play through to the point where you win the GTR. The game starts over from the beginning here. It won't take you long to reach this point. Right after you win the Supra, you will be given two missions - pick the GTR '12 - Part 1 mission, not the Cuda mission.
- Return to the garage. (You may be prompted to go back by pressing , however I was not for this particular car and had to drive back. If you need a quick reminder, press to bring up the map and then when you have selected your destination.)
The achievement did not pop for me at this point.
- Select the GTR ’12 and Leave the Garage.
As soon as you start driving for a bit, the achievement should pop. (For others, the achievement did not pop until entering the Garage a second time, which you can try here before stepping on the gas).
Even if the achievement did NOT pop at this point, please continue with the rest of us;
- DO NOT QUIT THE GAME! Leave it running while you perform the following;
- go back and turn on your Network (System, Network, select the "Go Online" box).
**NOTE: If the achievement did not pop for you as described, turning on the network, going back into the running game and driving the GTR should pop the achievement. The achievement popped for me after turning on the network and driving the car**
Now that we have the achievement, it’s time to recover our previous game save;
- go back to the game and quit it.
- restart the game
At this point, once you get past the initial loading screens, you should get a pop-up stating that it is syncing from the cloud (it is copying your cloud saved copy with your progress back onto your local storage). If all went well, you now are back to the same progress point before you started this exercise.
Good Luck!

Terrible solution! After fast travelling back to the garage I had to press again to enter the garage before the achievement would pop! Shame on you!

Story related, cannot be missed. Unlocks after completing two events.
- The first event is a street race in which you must finish in the top three.
- The second event is a sprint race in which you must beat the Nissan GT-R.
The achievement unlocks after completing the sprint race and returning to the garage in the Nissan GT-R.
