There are 2 easy ways to complete this achievement.
For the first solution go to the Saint-Martin car meet and complete 40 drag races in showdown events. Very simple and boring.
With the second solution you can unlock this and other Porsche Expansion achievements if you complete this todo list. The Bucket List events and the Head-to-Heads against Drivatars doesn't count, but you can play championship or online events. You can read my solutions if you click on the achievements in the list.
First you have to buy these cars and win 4 events with each.
The Show and Display achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 76 pointsComplete 4 events in the 1987 Porsche 959.
The Air Cooled Competitor achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 77 pointsComplete 4 events in the 1970 Porsche 914/6.
The Ring Wraith achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 69 pointsComplete 4 events in the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder.
The Cajun Kickin' achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 72 pointsComplete 4 events in the 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo.
The Listen to it Roar! achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 75 pointsComplete 4 events in the 2003 Porsche Carrera GT.
Completed 20 of 40 events. You need 6 more events in one of these cars to unlock this achievement.
The This Is My Porsche achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 119 pointsComplete 10 events in the same Porsche.
Completed 26 of 40 events. Win a race in the wet in 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3.
The Widow Maker achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 55 pointsWin a race in the wet in a 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3.
Completed 27 of 40 events. Now you only need 13 more championship or online events and the achievement will unlock. You should play online for 2 of 3 challenges and get XP rewards, but if you want to complete this fast, go to the Saint-Martin car meet (near to the airport) and play 13 showdown events.

Enter Saint-Martin Car Meet then hit the 
button to start a showdown race matchmaking. Random players will join from the same car meet and the race will automatically start if you have enough player.
Or you can join to other player's showdown event when you see a showdown player list at the top right corner. When you hear the click-click-click sound, you have only a few seconds to join.

How do I start these drag races? I go to the car meet but I can't start any showdown there.

40 events is the equivalent to 10 championships. By the time you have completed the 5 "complete 4 events in X Porsche vehicle" achievements and the "This Is My Porsche" achievement, you will only have 10 events left to play in any Porsche, and you do not have to win the events.
If you have already completed all championships from the core game, a quicker method will be to play playground games online with a friend such as Infected mode, as each game will count as an event played.
