How to unlock the Multi-Disciplined achievement in Forza Horizon 2 - Definitive Guide
For this achievement you need to complete one race in each of the 28 sub-groups of races. I recommend just completing the Championships along the way so you are working towards the win 25, 100, 168 Championship achievements.

168 -
If you want this as fast as possible you can switch Championships at the Hub and just complete a single race in each but you will lose any progress in the current Championship you are racing when you switch.
When you are picking a Championship you can always pull up the full list and specify the Group and Sub-Group. Here is the list of all 28 types of races you will need to complete.

So I was having the same issue as lindybeat - I'm at 85% completion, which means I have 4 types I haven't completed - how the hell do I figure out which one's I need to complete?
So I looked at the list and tried one I didn't think I had completed - but the percentage didn't move. I did this four more times and each time, no dice - the percentage didn't move.
I couldn't find anywhere in the user interface where it listed championships completed or a list of types of events that were completed (that was the nice thing about the old Forza Motorsports interface - there was a nice big grid which told you exactly which events you had completed!!).
What I did figure out was that if you go to your garage (go to the "Cars" tab, and select the "My Cars" tile) you can sort (click "X") by "Championship". You can then look at each car in each Championship type (press "A" to select a car) and then you can select "View History".
By doing this I was able to quickly narrow down exactly which 4 Championships I was missing. It was certainly faster than going "hmmm, did I do this one?", racing 4 races, and then finding out it didn't move the percentage.

There was no way in game to track this that I found. When I started to go for the achievement (~12 championships into the game) I used the "pick the next championship" to select each of the cities I wasn't in and go through and see which of the 28 championships I'd completed in that city and remove them from the list.

The other solution is fine and if you're going after all the achievements anyway then you will get this eventually, but I have created a spreadsheet that enables you to track this achievement. You can access it here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/0BzuzHNXNVkakUmk2RGZN...
It looks messy on Google Docs but works perfectly if you download it and use it in Excel etc.
It has formulas in place to calculate how many more you need for the achievement, just enter "Yes" (without the ") in each column where you have won the championship and it will automatically update and tell you how many you have left to complete (it ignores multiple wins in the same type of car so that won't affect the results).
Any feedback is appreciated :)
Edit 2022: apologies to anyone that has tried to access the spreadsheet recently, it hopefully will be fixed now

Each championship event is broken up into different car classes, for example, Modern Supercar, Classic Racers, etc. If you are aiming to complete all championships this achievement will unlock on the way so don’t feel like you need to buy the different classes of cars from the start. Also note that while some car classes are made up of very expensive cars, often barn find cars and wheelspin cars mean you will end up with a car in this class without having to spend money.

Complete all 28 championships in one of six cities. You can do it in different cities, but then look at what championships took place.
