How to unlock the On the Road Again achievement in Forza Horizon 2 - Definitive Guide

This is a multiplayer achievement. You must have reached Nice to be able to play Horizon Online.

After reaching Nice, buy and upgrade a couple of cars if you fancy from the Autoshow (R1, R2 and A class events are common in Horizon Online. There are cars on lend but you won't earn much XP and CR from using them) and then press Menu, and select the Online Road Trip option. This will find you a match. Stay in free roam until it finds one and accept it. Wait for the current event to finish, and then select your vehicle for the next one. Complete the road trip to unlock the achievement. You need to finish all four events, you can't join in progress.

I wanted to point out that I joined an online road trip when it was on it 1st event and finished the other 3 and did not received the achievement so looks like you have to fully finish one .

Just since the last comment here was made in 2016, this is to confirm that I just got this on 8/2/19. There were still plenty of people playing. I actually "tried" in the first 3 events and in the 4th one I ran to the bathroom and barely drove and I still got it afterwards. So this is just to let you know you can kind of go AFK okay as well.

Do the varying events counts toward other achievements when you're doing these online road trips?

To confirm what x iKrueLTyyy said, I joined one on event 4/4, but didn't get the achievement. It was once it it restarted and I did all events 1-4 that I got it.

It keeps telling me that I cannot join an online road trip. Any idea why? Because I don't have any DLC perhaps?

@neeker75 - It could be that, or your NAT type on your Xbox's network settings is not set to OPEN.

Still online in August 2022. Had to wait in the menu several minutes for the servers to connect, though.

I was trying to connect yesterday and after finding a session and accepting it, it ended with an error... There are "News" that the servers will be down forever on August 22nd (2023).

Cant get into a single session. The servers are absolute shit. You’d think they’d at least work until they were taken down for good. Just another reason why I don’t like online achievements.
