How to unlock the Rest in Peace achievement in Forza Horizon 2 - Definitive Guide

What is a Bucket List Event?
Well a Bucket List Event puts you behind the wheel of a variety of cars and requires you to do a specific challenge for each one.

Where can they be found & when?
The Bucket List Events are shown on the Map as Green Car Icon and will located all over the Horizon festival, from off road to contruction sites to highways. They will also unlock once you progress and when you have 15 on the map you will be able to race through all avaliable ones at that time.

I've done 15 now what?
Once you've completed all 15 Bucket List Events you will want to press cn_back then work your way over to progress using cn_RB. Once you've reached progress, go to the BUCKET LIST box and hit cn_A. This will bring up the Bucket List Menu & from here you will be able to pick "The Second Horizon Bucket List" so to do that you have to push cn_RB on the controller and push cn_X to set as the active Bucket List.

I've had real trouble with the #7 exige s, I've just got by having my Difficulty settings as Braking Assisted, Steering Assisted, Traction control Off, Stability control Off, Shifting Automatic. I also had Hud Units as Metric. Getting as much speed going into camera is a must, following the racing line and gently applying brakes on the corners, accelerating out of the corner as soon as possible.
I finally scraped 106kmh. Hope this helps someone who has also had problems.

I've done all the bucket lists, and have this general suggestion for speed traps & speed zones: don't feel you have to follow the green route to the zone. Look at the map for routes that have the straightest entry into the zone. One example that I recall is the #5 Mini Cooper one, I did it a few times and was always a bit short, then I took an alternate route through the town and came straight on into the speed zone and cleared it with room to spare.

For #7 Lotus Exige, I did it with all assists off by not following the driving line, but instead using the outside walls on both turns to get me around. Made it through easily at about 75mph. The point is that it's average speed, not fastest through the turns! Hope that helps, those were the hardest ones I think.

Ahh yes that one is a pain in the ass and I'm currently working on a guide after I beat it myself and will post if soon.

You have to enter the speed zone as fast as you can for that one. Drive on the ideal line through the corners (by braking properly at the suggested time and NOT drifting). And unfortunately you need some luck with the traffic cars. If one of those is on the perfect line through the corner it most likely won't work. At least that's how I got it. Good luck!

Thanks perceptron3000, your way helped perfect, tried numerous time to no success and worked after 2-3 tries with your method. Aim to get into the first corner at around 91 mph and break well on that first corner and the 2nd corner becomes alot easier to maintain speed.

7. Hard - push a Lotus Exige S to the limit around sisteron - I tried over an hour to get this one with the Full Driving Line on and was always 4km/h slow. I then tried it with Assisted Braking and following the Full Driving Line I just scraped through on time.

In case this helps I went into the Speed Zone at 148km/h, came out of the first bend at 102km/h and came out of the second bend at 101km/h to finish at 105km/h

For the Lotus Exige challenge, you'll want to line up with the beginning of the speed zone and back all the way up. Got an extra 5 or so mph when I did that. Strong braking around the turns is key, tho.

This was helpful as I didn't know how to do anymore after finishing the first 15.
Cheers.

There is now a 3rd bucket list so you may need 45 events now instead of 30....

* I have this achievement so cannot confirm if 3rd list is also needed....

Can anyone confirm needing the new 15 challenges for the achievement? Most of the new ones look pretty hard...

I very highly doubt you would as you need to complete 30 of them rather then 45

U don't need the new ones. I just started game and just beat my 5th of the original 30 and the xbox tracker is at 16%. 5/30 = 16.67%

Also if anyone is wondering, these new challenges won't count towards the achievement either.

+1 to d3nn1s99999 comment.
The new challenges do not count towards the achievement.
I completed list one, then did just the easy/medium challenges from list 2 & 3, have 31 completed across all 3 lists, but no achievement.

For anyone still having issues with completing #7 in the second bucket list, simply go into your settings, change the game difficulty to easy, and just concentrate on keeping your car on the driving line. I was struggling with this item but did it the first time after changing my settings.

You should throw ElJayoh's comment about the Mini cooper route change in the solution, it is amazing. I pulled this off first try too but ignoring the suggested route and going through the town a different way which provided a more straight shot towards the speed zone.

What a pointless "guide": I'm perfectly capable of reading the menu myself thank you. Here have a downvote (as I have done for the other two "solutions" here)

Can someone help me with #15, the drifting one ? I can do regular drifts ok but anything above that I can't seem to do with any consistency. Usually I'm lucky if I can get 2 or 3 great drifts before the time runs out.

#7 Lotus Exige is definitely easiest with Braking assistance and full driving line, ended up getting it my first try. I didn't blow by it but was almost at 66 MPH.

#7 recording playing enter the zone as fast as possible, than use brakes for next two corners, first is easy, second is harder, use manual transmission - much easier, passed second turn with first gear to have full power after switching to second gear.

Not good at manual I tried the tip in the other thread; hit the wall early around each corner and follow the curve around. This allows to to accelerate all the way in.

Being close several times (104.86 = 4km/h to slow) I turned to simulation stearing and no stability control to keep direction while hugging the rails, and it worked. Note that I did nail the running up curve , hit the first corner at over160 km/h and got traction after that at or above 100 km/h.

I did it with auto transmission, you have to get good speed entering the zone and bounce of the wall at the first turn and then just cut the second turn with decent speed.

Man, thanks! I tried a lot of times, now, with the manual transmission, I tried a lot of times too, but this time worked!

The bucket list items are single events in a variety of cars broken up into either a timed event, skill event or speed event. They are also broken up into easy, medium and hard.

The timed events require you to drive to a destination within a time limit, the speed events require you to hit a certain speed through a speed trap or speed zone and the skill events require you to hit a certain skill score or perform a certain number of skill within the time limit. The majority of these won’t prove to be too difficult even if you aren’t the best at racing games and you can still enable as many assists as you like. They can also be attempted as many times as you like.

If you find you are struggling with a certain event, look for an alternate route or area in which to reach the target time/score. Also, regarding the skill point challenges, upgrading your perks related to skills and combos will often help reach the target.

As the Horizon Championship progresses, you will be informed about the driver lists, these are some kind of tests for the definition. cars (marked on the map with a green square with a car). So, the first 15 will gradually appear on the map, after completing them many are waiting for the rest. But actually the rest. 15 you need to switch through the menu, then go to the progress tab, click on the racer list and there select the second pack of tests. Well, for the sake of achievement we do it
