Forza Horizon 2

Basically what I did was I went to the Sisteron Car Meet. When you enter the meet, your car will be lined up beside a bunch of other users vehicles that you can look at.

**EDIT - Thanks to donut77 for letting us know you can do this at multiple meets, it does not have to be done all at the same meet.

**EDIT - Thanks to edgie for letting us know that each individual purchase needs to be from a different user. So the tune, design and car need to be purchased from different players.

**EDIT - This can and most likely will be done with different cars. If anyone gets this while getting the tune, design and buying the same car please let me know and I can add that as well.

**EDIT - Thanks Kamata50 for letting us know this CAN be done using the same vehicle if you can find one with everything available.

Start by selecting a car. On the right side you will see 3 options that you can choose, which are design, tune and buy car.

I started by grabbing the first design, luckily the car I chose the design was available. If the first car you chose says design unavailable, just move to the next car. Then save the file. Next I bought the car, if it is not available, just move to the next car.

Now, the tune was hard to find as there has to be a car in the meet that has been upgraded and tuned by someone. A stock car obviously won't have anything to purchase and it took me a long time to find a car that I could get the tune for. When it is available, it will say "Get Upgrades". I had to come back the next day and try again, as I looked through dozens of cars with no tunes being available.

Last thing you need to do is join a showdown. At the bottom of the screen you should see some options. If you see to start showdown hit that and wait for others to join. You might also see an option to join a showdown in the lower right corner. All you have to do is press to join that. You don't need to win, just race.

Short and Sweet Guide for this achievement + a video of it being done.

The following can be done in any order but I will list it in the order that I did it.
1. Complete a showdown at any meetup simply look down while in the meet up and press to join a showdown when one becomes available, you don't need to win it just finish it.
2. Get a design from any other car at the meetup download and save it.
3. Get an upgrade from any other car (this can take time to find) download and save the first one you find.
4. Buy any car at the meet up assuming you have the credits.

Just to clarify this can be done IN ANY ORDER and it does NOT HAVE TO BE THE SAME CAR for the downloads.

Video below showing me doing this in the exact order I actually got this within like ten minutes but I know it can take longer to find a tune to download. Just remember it comes up as an upgrade.

This solution is meant for those trying to pop "online" achievements like this one in 2022 and beyond. The servers are extremely temperamental nowadays which affect the progression of the following achievements:





Please read this guide in its entirety before attempting to pop any of these achievements. This solution and the others posted for the above achievements took a lot of time to research & document.

To pop ANY of these achievements, we must make sure you're connected to the Forza Horizon 2 servers. We will refer to this as THE GOLDEN RULE.

I decided to try popping this achievement SOLO as soon as I unlocked Sisteron, starting from 0% in this achievements progress, not having downloaded any tunes or designs prior, not bought a car from a meet or not having done a single Showdown Race or having any boosting partners. Having a boosting partner for this achievement is recommended but not required.

***Pre-requisites***

1) You must first unlock Sisteron. This town grants access to Car Meets and is unlocked after you complete your 2nd championship in Single Player.

2) READ THE GOLDEN RULE. This is the most important step.

3) Have some people on your friends list. This helps differentiate which cars in the Car Meet are CPUs, unless you have a boosting partner and they're already in your Car Meet session.

4) Grabbing a tuning setup & initiating a Showdown Race will be the two hardest parts of popping this achievement without a boosting partner.

Start by driving to the Car Meet location in Sisteron. This is the first Car Meet that is unlocked in the game.

*If you're just launching the game and spawn in a Car Meet with 4 other cars that are bone stock, leave to Free Roam, perform THE GOLDEN RULE, then make a U-Turn back to the Car Meet.

"Buying a car"

When you arrive at the Car Meet, there should be 11 other cars. Select a car you know you can afford. Select "Buy Car". Select any design or press Y for manufacturer colors. Purchase the car. (When writing this solution, I had a '94 Mazda Miata in my meet. The Miata only costs 7,000 cR. Which cars appear for you in your Car Meet will be different. Just go with the option that's cheapest / not an exotic just to be sure.)

"Grab a livery"

While in your car meet you should notice a lot of cars with designs on them. Simply select any of these cars, then press "Get Design". Press A again on "New File", name the file anything you want, then press Start.

"Grab a tuning setup"

As you sit in the Car Meet, you will notice that some cars will leave and new ones will show up. Check all the cars that show up by selecting them with A and seeing if "BUY UPGRADES" is a selectable option. Typically it will say "TUNE UNAVAILABLE", in which you will just need to keep trying. If you're boosting this with a friend, make sure they have an upgrade equipped and a tune setup saved and installed. Don't know how to save/install a tune setup? Well, here is an easy tutorial:

(While in Single Player free roam: Press → Go to CARS tab → TUNE CAR → button → SAVE SETUP → NEW FILE → (Name anything you want) → Sharing doesn't matter → button AGAIN → LOAD SETUP → Press for MY TUNES → Select tune you just saved → LOAD TUNING SETUP → INSTALL)

Now go back to the Car Meet and wait for your boosting partner(s)!!

"Enter a Showdown"

I have two solutions for solo players and those with boosting partners. Of course having a boosting partner makes this 10x easier. I opted for the latter to make this a solution for everyone.

a) Fastest solution (with a buddy): Make sure you're in a Car Meet. Simply open your friends list and send a game invite to a boosting partner. The partner can join then one of you initiate a Showdown Race by pressing . Then the other player presses as well to confirm the race. There are 6 total Car Meet locations in the game. If you have a boosting partner make sure you pop this other achievement as well:

b) Solo player solution: This is where it begins to get tricky and have to get lucky with a random. While at the Car Meet, press RT to bring up the Player List. You should notice a lot of names of people already on your friends list. Those people are CPUs. What you're looking for is names you don't know. Select those names by highlighting them with your D-pad and pressing A. If it gives you the option "MUTE" the player, that person is actually in your meet and can accept/initiate a Showdown Race. Press X and cross your fingers that your random obliges. If the race is initiated, just make sure you finish the race. No need to win.

If you followed all of these steps successfully then Congratulations!! You just proved this achievement is not yet unobtainable!!
