How to unlock the Welcome to Horizon Europe achievement in Forza Horizon 2 - Definitive Guide

This is a natural progression achievement and is not missable.

Start the game, and finish the opening scene/roadtrip where you are driving the Lamborghini Huracan to the festival. The achievement will pop during the cutscene where you arrive at the first festival hub.

I'm twelve hours into this game... and the achievement hasn't popped. I'm guessing that it's glitched.

A possible solution: delete your save, cancel cloud sync and play without syncronization the whole game. Works for me... PS: Delete your save at your own risk, I was at the beginning of the game, so I didn't lose too much deleting my save. The achievement pop up in my first try withouth sync.

Used Lasie's advice and got this to pop. It's an bit scary deleting your save but it does work. Make sure you quit out the game entirely and wait a bit to make sure your save is uploaded. Then delete the local save, start up the game and cancel the sync. Race to the destination and it should pop during the cutscenes. Then, delete this save the same way, and the original save should load at the start when the game syncs.

Nothing unlocked here. I already deleted my save from the console and tried. Anything. Then I deleted my save from the cloud and so far nothing. Thank you MS for not programming your games correctly

After you first load up the game you will be given a car and a location to drive to. It’s not a race so you can take your time and get a feel for the game. Once you arrive at the main festival the achievement will unlock.

Most likely, this will be your first achievement.
At the very beginning of the game, you have to drive a bright yellow Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 (2014) and simply follow the green GPS path to get to the center of the Horizon holiday in Europe.

There is no need to overtake anyone. You can calmly, enjoying the scenery, just follow the GPS.
