How to unlock the A Complete Hoonatic achievement in Forza Horizon 3 - Definitive Guide

I have created a championship called Complete Hoonatic for this. You can either add me and use it, or blueprint your own. I used Coober Pedy Trail, Coober Pedy Scramble, and Cross Track Scramble in the Outback for it, and the total distance is 6.8 miles. It is set up to only use Hoonigan cars. You don't have to win, just complete the championship.

You will need to complete the championship in every car in the pack:

1965 Hoonigan Ford "Hoonicorn" Mustang
1979 Hoonigan Baldwin Motorsports "Loki" K5 Blazer
1955 Hoonigan Chevrolet Bel Air
1972 Hoonigan Chevrolet "Napalm Nova"
1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800
1992 Hoonigan Mazda RX-7 Twerkstallion
1991 Hoonigan Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche 911 Turbo

I'm sure there are combinations of events that are shorter, but I like how these are close to each other and you don't have to fast travel or drive a long distance between events.

For maximum efficiency, start a championship at each of the three locations for progress toward
Forza Horizon 3Horizon HardcoreThe Horizon Hardcore achievement in Forza Horizon 3 worth 109 pointsComplete a championship starting at every race route in the game.

A couple of thoughts.
First, you only need use a Hoonigan car in the final event in a championship. For the earlier races, you can use any car you prefer. Personally, for maximum efficiency, I would suggest a Horizon Edition with XP, credit, or skill bonus.
Second, again for maximum efficiency, complete seven championships, with each starting at a different location.

Yep if you're working toward Hardcore, you absolutely will want to use different starting points. My goal was to help get this specific achievement as quickly as possible. If you make seven, there's a lot of driving and fast traveling in between. This took around 45 min with these cars. I used only these cars so it was easier to keep track of what I'd used

In the garage, the cars are listed in reverse chronological order. I am blue printing each championship to be three races. The first two races are run with a Horizon Edition giving the XP bonus, then switch to the next Hoonigan car moving from left to right through the garage order.

If you are just looking to get this achievement done I made a blueprint starting at Cross Track Scramble (in Coober Pedy north of the Airport), that is only 4.35 miles.

Anybody know if Blizzard Mountain championships work for this? I still have a few to knock out, like to kill two birds with one stone.

They should but these cars may not be the best to use there

Does this Achievement not feature tracking?

Done 2/6 but progress hasn't moved.

It tracks fine for me. Sometimes the trackers can miss a beat. There are seven cars, not six.

The hoonicorn is not the best to race with but it sure as hell is a lot of fub to drive and get loads of skill points with.

Anyone knows if this can be done on Hot wheels DLC? I would have an extra reason to finish the grinding on the DLC and kill 2 birds with 1 stone!

Just try it and watch your achievement tracker. It should increase by ~14% per championship completed.

I personally used the same championship route as LifeExpectancy (the 3 lap races in Byron Bay) as the races are all quick single lap tracks and all just down the road from each other.

However, I would like to suggest a tip for tracking which cars you have used: before you do any championships, add all of the Hoonigan pack cars to your Favourites in the garage. Then, when you finish a championship and head back to the garage, remove the car you just used from your favourites, so the only cars left are the ones that you still need to use.

Can anyone confirm or disprove if this is possible with Blizzard mountain championships?

It works with Hot Wheels so I don't see why it wouldn't. If you finish a championship you can check the tracker to see if it moves and you'll know for sure.

The hoonigan bel air is the worst when it comes to racing as it has a very hard time cornering and brakes aren't that good either why is this in the pack anyway.

That's weird you're the only person I know of so far that's had problems with it unlocking. The tracker is always hit or miss for me. Are you able to unlock other achievements?

you can work on this while going for any championship series across all DLC too, if you wanna save time, doing it all, just select hoonigan as only cars usable for easy wins

I was doing this in chronological order so 1992 car was last. I had won 6 championships and the tracker was working fine. But I finished I completed a championship with that car and finished second and it didn't pop. Did another championship in the same car and won it and then it popped. So you may actually have to win for it count.

My achievement tracker stuck at 57% while doing this, but it did pop after I did all 7.

Achievement unlocked the next day--thought it might be a problem on Microsoft's side but other achievements were unlocking. I guess this one's just a bit slower than the others.

Hey guys,
take in consideration the other solutions, just create a championship blueprint with hoonigan cars, awith 1 lap, and leave the shortest track to the end.

U can use the Halidoc blueprint solution. (outback)

- Coober Pedy Scramble
- Redstone Mine Scramble
- Cross Track Scramble

Do the first two races.
I recommend use the achiev tracker but it's not necessary.

When you finish the third race, at the end of the championship points table, the tracker will go up. At that point, go to dashboard and leave the game.
Re start the game, and will have the third race as active championship. Just choose another car and repeat.
The achiev tracker will go up every time.
So u just need to do the first two tracks and then 7x the last one.

I know that the loading game it's slower with the new DLCs, but in my opinion it's faster than do the 3 races every time.

Cars for the achiev...

1965 Hoonigan Ford "Hoonicorn" Mustang
1979 Hoonigan Baldwin Motorsports "Loki" K5 Blazer
1955 Hoonigan Chevrolet Bel Air
1972 Hoonigan Chevrolet "Napalm Nova"
1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800
1992 Hoonigan Mazda RX-7 Twerkstallion
1991 Hoonigan Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche 911 Turbo

Edit: by damien666777
It works but one thing you need to change is you can not go to the CR and XP screen anymore you have to do it when the Championship complete screen shows up DO NOT HIT A if you do you will have to start a new championship up when you reload.

I couldn't get this to work every time, but it does work. I'm thinking I just wasn't quick enough exiting the game on the occasions it didn't work. Regardless, I saved time using this method. +1

Great optimal solution. Use the achievement tracker and as soon as you see it go up, quit the game. That should work.

I quit out as soon as the tracker went up and restarted the game and the championship is gone.

I don’t know if anyone has any advice but this achievement seems bugged as hell. I’ve probably won a tournament with every Hoonigan car at least 4 times now and the tracker hasn’t gone up once and the achievement hasn’t unlocked either

The quickest way to knock this out is to stay at the garage and upgrade the seven Hoonigan cars, if you plan to do so. If not just head straight to the championships. This way you wont need to travel back to the garage to upgrade in between.

For the races, use the three circuit races near the southern shoreline at Byron Bay: East Suburbs Circuit, East Bridge Scramble, and Switchback Scramble. Make sure to set each race to 1 lap and the weather to good. This championship is only 4.5 miles and will take less than 4 minutes even with loading screens.

When you create your championship, make sure to be in a Hoonigan car. Edit the championship and tab over to the car types for Current Car and choose Hoonigan for car type. This way only the seven Hoonigan cars will be an option. Then simply repeat the same championship 7 times, switching cars each time. I have already created Hoonigan championships at all three locations if you wish to use them.

I won't go over the list of cars since they are mentioned in the other solution.

If you have done every championship in the game you can bluprint an 'Anything Goes' race and set to one lap apiece the following races:

Coober Pedy Scramble (North of airport)
Cross Track Scramble (just slightly north of Coober Pedy Scramble)
Redstone Mine Scramble (West of airport at the gold mine)

Total ends up being 4.3 miles for all 3 races combined at one lap apiece.

Also, set your drivatar difficulty to 'New Racer' and most of these races will take about 1 minutes apiece. I have had the blueprint set up for quite a while to tackle challenges so if you add me it will be there, the championship starts at Coober Pedy Scramble.

*AN UPDATE* To this solution is that in order to do it fast you need to do the following:

1. I have a championship named ACHIEVE - it lists the 3 best tracks for easy wins (leave gold mine till last)
2. some cars are not good on dirt so set difficulty right down or find a good tune
3. Do 2 races, then finish the final race...
3.5 NOW hit continue TWICE (with the achieve tracker up)
4. On this final cut scene... wait till the tracker moves - NOW hit dash and exit quickly

this works

For anyone who does not have this DLC
(The game and and all DLCs for it were taken off sale on 27th september 2020)

Step 1: Find someone who has the DLC and the time to help

Step 2: Have them start a Coop session and join it.

Step 3: Have them start the championships, get them to choose the races and set them to one lap:
'East Bridge Scramble' (Byron Bay), 'Figure Eight Desert Circuit' (Desert) and 'Coober Pedy Scramble' (Desert)
These are the fastest races.

Step 4: Have them start the routes, when the car pick screen comes up for you press 'Horizon Rental' then choose rent hosts car.

Rinse and repeat for each car.

There are 7 cars you need to complete a championship with:

  • 1955 Hoonigan Chevrolet Bel Air
  • 1965 Hoonigan Ford "Hoonicorn" Mustang
  • 1972 Hoonigan Chevrolet "Napalm Nova"
  • 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800
  • 1979 Hoonigan Baldwin Motorsports "Loki" K5 Blazer
  • 1991 Hoonigan Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche 911 Turbo
  • 1992 Hoonigan Mazda RX-7 Twerkstallion

So, all you need to do for this achievement is to complete 7 championships (not win), they can be the same ones or different. The easiest way to do it is to make blueprints. you can add KenH2k4. He has kindly said people can use his blueprints to make this go faster, this will cut the normal time of the championships below half. The championship you want to use is Coober Pedy Trail and is just north Redstone Airport. This championship is only 6.8 miles long and is set up to only use Hoonigan cars.

Thanks to KenH2k4 for the use of his blueprints.
