How to unlock the #Forzathon Cleaning Up The Festival achievement in Forza Horizon 3 - Definitive Guide

*Update*
Thank you everybody for your comments. There are a few things that can be clarified thanks to these comments.
It looks like there are 3 different stats that combine to give your total number of completed races. There's the one on the General tab, the 2nd on Online and the 3rd on Blizzard Mountain.
Additionally it seems as if this achievement is tracking all your completed races plus the number of snowmen smashed. So if you add the 3 different race stats and the number of snowmen it should come to roughly what the achievement tracker % shows.
While grinding the Bucket List #4 it sounds like the quicker way is to get 19/20 and then restart the challenge, skipping all the reward screens that you have to sit through if you complete the challenge. Every 19 snowmen smashed should raise the achievement tracker by 2-3%.
Once again thanks to everybody who commented with these points.
*Update*

Ok so obviously there are 2 different requirements for this achievement and it's on you which one you decide to go for.

If you've previously met either of them then the achievement will pop immediately when you load up the game.
And if you've already unlocked the full 2500G before this update and have been keeping up with the challenges then chances are you're pretty close to having done 1000 races. You can check by going into the menu, scrolling across to the Progress tab and selecting Stats. Then in the top right corner of the General stats you'll see Number Of Races. I can't confirm that this is the number used for these 4 title update achievements but it seems pretty likely.
However doing the races, as with all 4 of these title update achievements, will be much slower than doing the skills.

The easier and quicker way to pop this specific achievement will be going for the 1000 Snowman skills. Again you can check by going to the Progress tab, selecting Stats and then Blizzard Mountain. Down near the bottom of this page is the number of snowmen you've smashed. In my case after doing all the Blizzard Mountain DLC I only had about 60 of these so this is where the grind begins.

From what I can see the quickest way to smash snowmen is to load up the Blizzard Mountain Bucket List #4 challenge which requires you to smash 20 snowmen in 2 minutes or less. This challenge sticks way more snowmen around Whitestone Village than there are in Freeroam mode and they all respawn each time you start the challenge. So run the challenge and immediately restart to do it over and over. Even after only doing it a couple of times I can get the 20 snowmen in about 90 seconds which if you add loading times works out to probably around 2 minutes per run which even if you're starting this from 0 should net you the achievement in roughly 100 minutes. Not nearly as bad as you might have originally thought.

Haha I'm sorry, I wanted to get in here quickly but I'm glad to know you also think bucketlist #4 is the best way to do this. I'm not putting up solutions for any of the other achievements so don't worry if you're already working on them.

If the achievements don't retroactively unlock on the loading screen, they usually unlock during gameplay. Some of them unlocked during gameplay (skill trigger) and then more after finishing an event (completion trigger).

Do you have to download an update or is it automatically there?

Well I'm glad this is working for other people because I can't get it to pop. I've now got nearly 1100 snowman skills listed in the stats but no achievement and no idea why not.

I had 76 snowmen skills and 630 races won. Did the bucket list and it popped?? 76 + 20 = 96 and says I have done 103. Something isn't right but I'm not complaining haha

Just grinding this and it unlocked it with 618 races and 309 snowmen, which is neither 1000 races or 1000 snowmen. It doesn't even equal 1000. Ha, as IEvil IMonkey says, something isn't right!. oh well smile

Probably because you've done 2500 ultimate skills. Each achievement has two requirements

Um, so this just popped for me and according to my stats page I have smashed 64 snowmen and done 867 races... doesn’t add up to 1000 and isn’t 1000 separately so I genuinly have no clue how this is meant to unlock...

If I add up my races in general tab + races in online tab + races in blizzard mountain tab + snowman it gets me pretty close to 1000. Maybe the races in general tab doesn't count those other races.

It seems it is one requirement + requirement = 1000/1500/2000/2500.
I have 2051 ultimate skills and 548 number of races. Couldn't find the other stats for now.

People saying it's unlocking early maybe the stats in game only count banks snowman combos and the achievement track any snow man hit whether combo banked or not

The fastest way in this method is smashed 19 snowmens and restart this challenge. This is faster because it is a few seconds loadings less when you completed challenge and go back to map and repeat.

When i loaded the game i had just 35 snowman skills and around 700 races completed. The progress bar was at 70%. I started the bucket list 4 and for every 19 snowman smashed the progress increased by 3%. Got the achievement when my total snowman smashed was just 182. So it seems the progress is combined and starts to increase for either of the requirement from your current progress percentage. Thought it would be a huge grind but done within 10 mins

All popped except this one. This one was 81%. I just did 1 lap races that has snowman, could smash 3 a lap. Took about 1hr30 to get the remaining snowman. Theres no way I ve done 1000 races, popped all of them with the skills.

How do you check your %? Mine shows up as 0% for the last remaining 2 secret achievements.

My suggestion to everyone is ignore looking at your stats. Turn your achievement tracker on - favourite the new achievements and change the number of achievements shown to the amount of new ones you need. This way they are the only ones on your screen.

Then go to the bucket list and start grinding. It’s quicker to retry at 19 snowmen than complete it (but that means counting yourself).

If the tracker stops moving, it is counting, but for whatever reason the tracker sometimes freezes. If that happens, dashboard, quit the game and relaunch. And the tracker will jump up to where it should be and start moving again.

This was the only one of the new 4 that didn’t pop for me. I checked the achievement tracker and it was on 93% completing the BM bucket list 4 pushed the achievement tracker up 2% each time until it popped so it’s not that much of a grind to complete it even if you start with a very low achievement tracker 🙂

Mine unlocked after about 400 races and less than 250 Snowmen Smashed.
Less than 650 total, so I guess mine unlocked early...

Thanks for the solution, the bucket list #4 worked fine. Make sure to restart at 19 snowmans, or you will have to sit through the "race complete" scene.

This one and the 1500 one (#Forzathon See You Horizon Boss) popped for me right after winning the first race of a three race custom championship I built and generally use for championship challenges.

The 2500 one (#Forzathon And Thanks For All The Drifts) popped right after three starring the Rainforest Reveal Danger Sign (which I did just prior to the championship mentioned above.

I have NOT popped the 2000 one (#Forzathon The Final Tour) yet, and suspect it might be glitched, but it may also pop sometime at the convenience of the server.

Unlocked this with the following stats. 562 general races completed, 109 blizzard mountain races completed, 316 snowmen smashed, 13 online blizzard mountain races completed. That all ads up to exactly 1000, so looks like it combines all those 4 stats together when checking.

I just wanted to make a quick guide

Go to Blizzard Mountain
Play Bucket List #4
(Bucket list challenge #4 unlocks after you get 30 stars)
Hit 19 snowmen then restart
Every 2 games the tracker goes up 5%

this is by far the quickest way to do it. If you have found a nice route, you need about a minute to get 19, so you would only need about an hour doing it from scratch.

Any idea how much progress needs to be made on Blizzard Mountain for this challenge to show up? I just recently started it and I think I only have #1 and 7 so far. Just curious how long I'm looking at.

Mine was at 82% when loaded up game again, used this method and it stopped counting them at 94%.
Edit - decided to try see if a race would nudge it up further and popped during fast travel to a race location...

Kudos.. This works. Easier if you have achievement progress of more than 50%.. less grind on bucket list #4

Not sure if something is messed up with Forza but when I tried this method, I did 19 snowmen twice. My snowman count was 58 before I started, after doing it twice (so 38 snowmen more), my count was only 65... the game doesn't seem to be accurately adding the snowmen from the Bucket List. Can anyone confirm/deny?

GRIND REDUCTION

Grinding Bucket List #4 is a great method, thanks to the previous solutions. I just wanna put the idea out there that there is a way to reduce the grind, if you aim to get this achievement for completing all Blizzard Mountain championships:

Forza Horizon 3Mountain MasteryThe Mountain Mastery achievement in Forza Horizon 3 worth 116 pointsComplete every Blizzard Mountain Championship.

Create blueprints for each championship starting point, and always include the Whitestone Village Scramble as one of the races. Every time you fast-travel to this event’s start location, there is a snowman staring right at you. Run him over then launch the event. Within this race, there are at least four snowmen you can plow through on your way to the finish line.

To hasten championship completion, all of my blueprints include this race along with Snow Park Cross Country circuit, which is the smallest circuit track.

Doing this for all championships first will reduce what remains for the grind.
